The state of Delaware borders the Atlantic Ocean, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. It is the second smallest of the 50 United States and is divided into three counties. Delaware was one of the thirteen colonies and the first state to ratify the U.S. Constitution. It is aptly nicknamed “the First State.”
Delaware has two members of the U.S. Senate, one member of the U.S. House of Representatives, 41 members of the House of Representatives and 21 members of the State Senate.
