 CAST MEMBER SPOTTEDMy dad and I were at the movie theaters at Universal Studios City Walk, where we spotted Douglas Spain. He portrayed Antonio Garcia, one of the replacements troopers introduced in Episode Four - "Replacements". We spoke with him for a few minutes and he seemed surprised that we remembered him. Spain has a movie due to be released in theaters, next month. He is also the fifth cast member from the 2001 miniseries that we have either spotted or met - which include James McAvoy (Miller), Neal McDonough (Compton), Dexter Fletcher (Martin) and Kirk Acevedo (Toye). |

[ mood | awake ] Are you a fan of the new TV series Homeland? Or perhaps you have been following Damian since before that when you saw him as Major Dick Winters in Band of Brothers. Or maybe even further back than that. No matter how long or short of a time you have been a fan this is the community for you. | The television special “Duty Bound: A Tribute To Dick Winters” will be rebroadcast by WGAL 8 at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2011/01/dick_winters_television_specia.htmlI am in Australia and if anyone could get a copy of this I would be very grateful, I have tried to find a place to but it without luck. Both my grandfather serviced in WWII (that is where they met and how the families became friends), they stayed close for the rest of their lives and are not both gone. They were in The Pacific and like most did not talk about the war. I like to think that everyone that serviced acted as the men of Easy did.Thank you | |
