The Oakland Resistance Cell (original) (raw)
(OOC: ICly, this has been BALLEETED. It is now included for posterity.)
First real combat action today, and the pilots did very well for a first sortie.
Simon kind of freaked out, though. He's blaming himself for what happened to his Anchor, Meredith. I saw the damage to her face - it's not pretty, but she's a trooper about it, at least, and they've had the chance to talk. Meredith's doing what she can to reassure Simon, at least, but I probably have to nail this one in the bud.
Goddamn it, he's only, what, thirteen this month? Meredith is 15-16? No one should have to deal with the war AND thier teenage years at the same time.
Not like we have a choice...
I'm also worried about Gabrielle. She's taking on so much without asking, maybe too much. When the last creche malfunctioned, not a peep from Gabrielle, she just turned around and whipped the last drone.
I talked with her. Tried to remind her that I'm not wishing this on her, that she doesn't need to do so much. Shes... adjusting.
Amy's surveyed the damage to the creche, and it's not too severe. We should have them up and running in the month.
Double ration to the pilots and anchors after that sortie. Least I can do.
I am not nearly stoned enough to take this.
