CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College women's basketball team pushed past Holy Cross on Saturday afternoon with a 75-50 victory in Conte Forum.

The Eagles improve to 2-0 for the fourth time in as many years, while Holy Cross drops to 0-2.

Taylor Soule showcased another efficient performance, shooting 9-for-11 from the floor en route to a game-high 21 points (14 in the first half). The senior forward was one of three players to lead the team with five boards, and she added three assists.

Ally VanTimmeren tallied a season-high 10 points with five off the glass, while five other players scored at least five points. Marnelle Garraud turned in a stellar outing running the offense as she dished out a game-best nine assists to only one turnover in 25 minutes. The guard also led the team with five steals in the victory.

Holy Cross stayed close with the Eagles early in the contest. With the score tied 10-10 late in the period, the Eagles put together a 13-4 run that was capped off by a pair of Kaylah Ivey layups, giving BC the lead for good.

HC climbed to within four midway through a low-scoring second quarter before the Eagles stretched the advantage to 11 before the half thanks to 9-2 spurt. BC went into the break with a 38-27 lead.

It was all Boston College in the second half, where it cruised to a second straight win by at least 25 points.

The Eagles assisted on 22 of 29 field goals, scored 34 points off 29 Holy Cross turnovers, and dominated down low with 40 points in the paint. BC also forced 16 steals in the win and scored 21 second-chance points.

BC hits the road for the first time this season on Wednesday when it takes on Boston University at 6 p.m.
