Is Generative AI powerful enough to produce new comic books? No one can answer this question better than our keynote speaker (Mar-)Nix Verduyn. He investigates Creativity in AI at KU Leuven and is also the new writer behind the popular comic book series "De Kiekeboes". We are delighted that Marnix will share his unique insights with us! Our symposium also tackles other recent developments in the rapidly changing domain of AI: • Moving AI computations close to the source, exploring what raw sensor data can bring to AI in combination with embedded optimization • Combining expert knowledge with data from different sources to solve complex decision problems Talks are given by both academics and experts from industry, covering the scientific state-of-the-art and practical in-company implementations. This event presents results from two recent Vlaio Technology Transfer projects of the EAVISE research group at KU Leuven Campus De Nayer.
