I would have to say my favorite surfing beach that I've been to is Cape Hatteras, NC...but my favorite beach is St. Andrew's Scotland (even though it's really cold, it's beautiful!)Tell us a little about you: I grew up in the peidmont of North Carolina, about three hours away from the uber-public beaches and anywhere from six to eight from the beautiful Outer Banks. I've seen all kinds of things like London and St. Louis, but nothing compares to a good beach. I swam competitvely for fourteen years, and have been bodyboarding for God knows how long. I'm so excited that I'm finally getting a chance to learn to surf. I go to school at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, which puts me closer to the beach! I'm also a sailer and a lifeguard.

[ mood \| calm ] I have been so completely beach deprived this summer it's not even funny. I've gotten to go once at that was at Yorktown Beach which doesn't even really count. I'm going into withdrawals from the ocean. Luckily I'm heading down to our fake East coast OC...Ocean City...:D in two weeks for a week. Should be awesome. Take it easy beach bums!

Dume in Malibu.Tell us a little about you: Born in Pacific Beach, CA and , moved to the Santa Monica/Malibu border when I was young. Spent my childhood running around malibu, san diego, and LA, as well as swimming and surfing. I do a ocean lifeguarding program in Santa Monica, and Im hoping to qualify for the cadet program so I can be certified. I surf all over the LA, Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Diego counties, as well as maui in Hawaii. I used to do contests, and I did well, but I discovered it was becoming more of a chore, and hated surfing because of it, so I quit and do it for fun now. Um.. I met my boyfriend of one year at a surf contest, found out he was from maui, and spent the summer surfing with him in Lahaina, and on the Big Island (where my family is originally from.) I am addicted to the beach, its essential for me, and Im glad I found this community, as random a finding as it was. umm if theres anything else just ask..

proud ] Wow...I'm really glad you guys still post in this community haha...craziness, I've neglected it so much.My friend Ashley and I made this community about 2 years ago now while were best friends and we had all these plans for it and what not. But eventually after about 2 years things change and we're about to graduate now, go off to college. Have grown apart.
