HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE?? One of my new years resolutions is to....be more active on LJ. Gosh, 2010 was such a bad year, I am going to FORCIBLY PUT IT BEHIND ME AND MOVE FORWARD TOWARDS GOOD THINGS. Like community college and a chance to start at Tyler in the fall /crosses fingers.

Probably the most recent of all this stuff, seeing as I drew it...last night to get out of my GOD I HATE MYSELF art funk. I actually have never seen Durarara!! but I was amused by shared fondness for furry jackets. Also Yosuke, get away from the save point.
Tangentially related, while I was drawing this, I realized I REALLY want to learn how to color linelessly. Because I really like how this:
looks, but I'll need to do some studies before I'm actually confident to...intentionally do this. sob sob why does life require me to learn things, why can't I just KNOW THEM.

Much like the Gay Shadow picture above, I was playing with the marker tool for this one. I've been trying to get more movement in my lines and I seem a lot looser when I use this, rather than the pen. SLOWLY I WILL ACHIEVE MY GOAL......maybe.

I ONLY COLORED THIS ONE, but parkstar is letting me post it here because she is a very nice person and gjskdgs. I was feeling down about my lines and ran to her saying 'CAN I COLOR SOMETHING?? PLEASE??' and she obliged me because, as I've said, she is too nice (and also a fabulous artist CONSIDER THIS A RECCOMENDATION, PEOPLE).

I really liked it and I HAVE YET TO COMMENT, WHICH IS STUPID, SO ALL OF YOU SHOULD READ AND FIX THIS. Seriously, she hasn't gotten the love she deserves on this one and it makes me rage a little. So. Comment. This goes for me too, because I suck.
BUT THAT ASIDE, she was kind enough to let me illustrate it and even though (once again) I ended up flaking due to...reasons...she was totally sweet and gracious and supportive. The best father a girl could ask for, really. u_u I'm still sorry Dad, I swear I'll be better.
