These can be cluster into four main group namely, traditional “native”, traditional Indian, traditional Chinese, and modern medicine. This study was conducted to identify the moderating effects of races on the relationships between safeness, efficacy, trust, holistic view and health awareness, and feeling of TCM usage. About 288 self-administered questionnaire data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling Approach to the public in Labuan and Sabah, East Malaysia. The moderating effect of races on the relationships between predictor variables such as safeness, efficacy, trust, holistic view and health awareness and criterion variable (i.e. feeling) was evaluated. The study showed that holistic balance view of TCM not significantly influences the TCM usage. Thus, the results of this study are importance to the practical industry application and ...

SDT explains the involvement of motivation in many areas, particularly health behaviour. Purpose: This paper reviews the application of both autonomous and controlled motivation in predicting health behaviour in the literature. Methodology: Published journals or articles containing quantitative studies that applied either autonomous and controlled motivation or both as independent variables that predicted health behaviour were included in this review. Articles from the past ten years (2009 to 2018) were reviewed. Health behaviours were further categorised into illness treatment and recovery, reduced health risks, and general health. Findings: Review results indicated that autonomous motivation was consistently related to various health behaviours for short- and long-term. Controlled motivation was either insignificantly or negatively related to health behaviours. Implication: This paper adds to our understanding of the influences of motivation on health from the perspective of SDT. This paper also contributes to the healthcare literature by providing insights into the extent to which both types of motivation influence health behaviour.

However, very little research has examined the underlying factors of the consumption of TCM among consumers. This conceptual paper proposed a model which aims to understand the key constructs that influence the consumption of the TCM. The model comprises three key constructs, namely consumer perception towards TCM, consumer perception towards conventional medicine and illness perception of consumer. Relationships between these constructs are discussed, which will be empirically tested in future research.

Survey data were collected via an on-line self-administered questionnaire. Data were analysed usingstructural equation modelling (SEM) techniquevia AMOS computer program version 20.0. Results revealed that likelihood of success, sense of justice and attitude towards complaining are significant in influencing complaint behaviour of consumers. This paper presents valuable information that can assist marketers and researchers in understanding the consumer complaint behaviour among this age group and develop better service to the retain customers.

The main objective is to investigate the influence of various antecedent factors, i.e. general attitude towards business, sense of justice, perceived likelihood of success in complaining and perceived difficulties of complaining on the young adults' complaint behavior following dissatisfaction faced in services received in the telecommunication industry. The complaint behavior could be classified into public complaint and private complaint as suggested by Day and Landon (1976) and Day (1977). This research also investigated the complaint methods that were commonly taken by young adults to resolve problems with the services they receive from the telecommunication service provider. Survey data was collected via a self-administered questionnaire. Data was analysed using IBM Statistical Package for Social Sciences (S...

This research aims to investigate the prevalence of TCM practices in the state of Sabah, Malaysia. Data collected from 288 respondents was a self-administered questionnaire and was analysed using chi-square statistics. Results revealed that the most commonly used traditional medicines were traditional Malay herbs followed by traditional Chinese herbs, while the most popular complementary medicine was reflexology. Most of the respondents reported they had used TCM up to five times in the previous year and only five percent of the respondents responded that they had never used any type of TCM before. Personal choice and family belief were two major influences on respondents' preferred type of TCM. The results reflect the importan...

The present study tests the tenets of need theory by proposing that money can buy happiness beyond poverty if the money satisfies higher-order needs. Findings indicate that in older adults (n = 1,284), as economic standing rises, so do individual perceptions of financial security (a safety need), which in turn increases overall life satisfaction. Further, a path model tested the degree to which financial security and psychological need satisfaction mediated the path from economic standing to life satisfaction and demonstrated the complete mediation through higher-order needs-there was a 66% reduction in the direct link through financial security and a 34% reduction through psychological need satisfaction. Discussion focuses on how these mediation and path models extend need theory.

Purpose: This study aims to (1) propose the dimensions of consumer perceived value (CPV) for HMP; and (2) propose a conceptual framework to test CPV influences on consumption behavior, repurchase intention and customer loyalty. Methodology: The value dimensions of HMP included functional value (price), functional value (quality), social value, emotional value (feeling), and conditional value (holistic treatment value). CPV was proposed as an antecedent of repurchase intention and customer loyalty. Implications: A conceptual framework with a second-order multi-dimensional CPV as the antecedent of repurchase intention and customer loyalty was proposed. This article proposed a conceptual framework to analyze the influence of value dimensions on HMP. This could provide use...
