Let's face it: as hearty Christians, we try to stay on stop of the latest findings and facts in the world so that we can weed out all the sinners from the righteous ones (us). Specifically, in the 1980's when the truth of the homosexual agenda was shown to ALL--not only us saved-ones--we used this information to our advantage. The light was shown to us through the power of God, and through the gift of AIDS! Even such intelligent presidents as Reagan saw this truth!Up until the AIDS "crisis," Christians had to condemn homosexuality with such amazing Bible verses as ones claiming humans should not bathe and women should hide in a cave during their menstrual cycles (one of my personal favorites). After the AIDS epidemic, however, this disease remained as our bedrock justification against the homosexual agenda for almost two decades--until now. As much as we try to portray ourselves as the all-encompassing, compassionate group of good-doers, the fact remains that we have used diseases, such as AIDS, to remind sinners, such as homosexuals, that they are going to burn in the fiery, Disney-villain-domain-like Hell. Since I'm a proud Christian conservative, I often feel the need to turn people into Christian conservatives just like me. I found this amazingly heart-warming story in my favorite Live Journal community, Bush2004, and I thought I would share it with all of you.A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like somany others her age she considered herself to be a very liberal Democratand was for distribution of all wealth.She felt deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch Republicanwhich she expressed openly. One day she was challenging her father onhis beliefs and his opposition to higher taxes on the rich & theaddition of more government welfare programs. Based on the lectures thatshe had participated in and the occasional chat with a professor shefelt that for years her father had obviously harbored an evil, evenselfish desire to keep what he thought should be his.The self professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to bethe truth and she indicated so to her father.He stopped her and asked her point blank, how she was doing in school.She answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and let him knowthat it was tough to maintain. That she studied all the time, never hadtime to go out and party like other people she knew.She didn't even have time for a boyfriend and didn't really have manycollege friends because of spending all her <> timestudying.That she was taking a more difficult curriculum.Her father listened and then asked, "How is your good friend Kwanishadoing?"She replied, "Kwanisha is barely getting by." She continued, "She barely hasa 2.0 GPA," adding, "Kwanisha doesn't have the luxury of having her College Tuition paid for by a rich daddy like I do. Kwanish has to WORK much harder for her education, literally. She works a full-time job and never has time to study. She can barely even afford to pay all her bills on time." She continued "I doubt Kwanisha is going to even pass this semester. She will probably get suspended for having such a poor GPA, and have to continue working her low-wage job in order to pay off the remainder of her tuition."Her father then asked his daughter, "Why don't you go to the Dean'soffice and ask him to deduct a 1.0 off your 4.0 GPA and give it to yourfriend who only has a 2.0." He continued, "That way you will both have a3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a fair and equal distribution ofGPA."The daughter visibly shocked by her father's suggestion angrily firedback, "That wouldn't be fair! I got all your money for mine, I didwithout and Mary has worked extremely hard for hers, she worked while I didn't have to work at all!"The father slowly smiled, winked and said, "Welcome to the RepublicanParty"The daughter looked very confused, "Um...okay?"Well, I'll be honest; I like most of this story, but the part about Kwanisha throws me off. Not to mention, I don't like the sound of her name. It sounds deviant.However, I'm glad the overall message of the story is in favor of Republicans like myself.God bless all of your faces. Unacceptable Well I just snorted 10 lines of some sweet-ass Crystal Meth. I’m feeling awfully strange though. Not only is that a proven fact, but it’s also common sense. But I still love God and Jesus, and I hate homosexuals and abortion.:takes more drugs:No one has ever taken a 100% accurate poll or study on sexuality. Moreover, you face TONS of bias with a poll questioning the specific sexuality of people for a number of reasons: (1) With the way people look at homosexuality in our society, many people aren't honest about their TRUE homosexual feelings(2) You can't measure something as ambiguous as sexuality in the first place(3) Did I mention there is TONS of bias in studies involving sexuality?Furthermore, the most accurate and scientific study was done about 50 years ago by Alfred Kinsey, who concluded that 10% of men had experienced AT LEAST some type of homosexual experience in their lives (oh my, I'm not even sure why I know that). That sort of rebuts your questionable statistics, doesn’t it? But I’m sure your statistics are, in fact, reliable. What, did you get those from “Sesame Street Teaches Cause & Effect”? No, just kidding; I bet you got those statistics from the bible because you are such a good Christian, sweet potato._God says that all sins are equal, and that thinking about sinning is the same as doing it._Oh, well you kind of missed the point on this one, Einstein. (oh heavens...)Christians like us try to convince people who have homosexual feelings to repress them and to NOT be open about them. (I guess in your eyes, they are thinking about it, and therefore sinning anyway though, right?)But if that’s NOT lying then what is it? I seriously would LOVE to know, because I must be just so confused as to what that is.Heavens to Betsy! I’m not sure what just came over me, but I’m feeling awfully dizzy from all of that. A lot of people have been wondering why I think the way I do. As a strong Christian follower, I do not feel I have to defend my beleifs, but I will be respectful and explain my stance on such issues as homosexuality.God is a loving, compassionate, and forgiving essense. God will send people to hell if they make a mistake. Mistakes are unacceptable.He made us all as a test to see if we will do what he wants us to do, but then if we make mistakes he sends us to a horrible place for eternity - he does get a little bit of pleasure out of doing this, otherwise he would have logical reason for doing so. Just think about it.God loves all his creations.Homosexuality is a sin (in general terms, because everyone in the world is Christian), I will not argue with you on that. God created homosexual feelings to test us and see if we would act on those deviant feelings. If people do act on their homosexual feelings, then they will be placed in hell after they die.Now your next question may be, "how do you know homosexuality is a sin?"Well, the bible CLEARLY states it: "A man is not to lay down with a man. Men need to either lay down alone, or with a girl, okay?" (2:29)I just don't see how it can be any more clear than this. Even when men kiss other men, that's a sin because kissing and laying are the EXACT same thing; everyone knows that.Alright, so I know what you are thinking now; "Wait a minute... there is nothing in that verse that states a women can't 'lay down' with another women. How can you say God thinks homosexuality is wrong on a general level? Furthermore, if God doesn't like gay women, why didn't he give them a deadly disease as he did gay men (AIDS)?"So what if God doesn't specifically condemn female homosexuality? We can still say he doesn't like it.Whatever - I don't need a bible verse to prove that female homosexuality wrong. It's wrong just 'cause it is - just 'cause it is....Just 'cause it is.In short, God would rather us commit a different sin by lying about our true, sexual feelings than be honest with them.Although Lying is a sin, God likes lying when it is compared to homosexuality. He HAS to, otherwise, why would he want us to not be honest that we are attracted to, and fall in love with people of our same sex? So sometimes God does like sins, okay?I've said it before, and I'll say it again; gay men need to tell straight women that they love them and are attracted to them; as do gay women to men, even if this is not the truth. | _6:14 pm_[feedmeagoat] | I have learned a great deal from the bible, and I try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind him that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate. I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the specific laws and how to best follow them. a) When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Lev 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them? b) I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her? c) I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Lev 15:19-24). The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense. d) Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians? e) I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself? f) A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an Abomination (Lev 11:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this? g) Lev 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here? h) Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev 19:27. How should they die? i) I know from Lev 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves? j) My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? (Lev 24:10-16) Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws?
