Through a close reading of the Genesis texts, particularly the Jacob cycle (Gen 24–27), this article explores how Rebekah, despite appearing marginalized by her cultural context, exerts significant influence over the transmission of the divine blessing. The analysis focuses on the narrative structure, Rebekah’s characterization, and her unique relationship with God, which enables her to navigate complex familial dynamics and ensure the continuation of God's plan through her son Jacob. Additionally, the paper discusses the typological connections between Rebekah and Abraham, as well as the broader implications of her story in Christian theology, especially in relation to divine election as articulated by Paul in Romans 9. Rebekah’s narrative is thus presented as a profound example of the interplay between divine sovereignty and human agency, demonstrating how Rebekah plays a crucial role in the fulfillment of the covenantal promises.

In a nutshell, his narrative is didactically constructed as Luke manages to confront delicate themes such as the universal dimension of the Church and acceptance of the Gentiles in sharing a common altar and table, inserting the motives with dietary distinctions at the important turning points of the narrative (Lk 15; Acts 10 and Acts 15). He tries to convince and teach his reader of God's plan of salvation in which all humanity is called to accept the message of life in a restored people of God through Jesus Christ. Streszczenie. Łukasz jest dobrym artystą narracyjnym i podążając za stylem starożytnych historiografów, tworzy swoją relację narracyjną zgodnie z zasadami spójności, prawdziwości i użyteczności w odniesieniu do moralnej i apologetycznej edukacji. Krótko mówiąc, jego narracja jest skonstruowana dydaktycznie, a Łukaszowi udaje się przedstawić delikatne tematy, takie jak uniwersalny wymiar Kościoła i akceptacja pogan w dzieleniu wspólnego ołtarza i stołu, wprowadzając jednocześnie motywy różnic żywieniowych w ważnych punktach zwrotnych narracji (Łk 15; Dz 10 i 15). Próbuje on pouczyć swojego czytelnika i przekonać go, że w Bożym planie zbawienia cała ludzkość jest wezwana do przyjęcia przesłania życia w odrodzonym ludzie Bożym przez Jezusa Chrystusa.

The article highlights Paul’s thought that Judaism and Christianity are not at odds but are part of God’s plan that leads to Christ from the Law. The author uses the approaches of rhetorical analysis and intertextual reading. An analysis of structure, vocabulary and subject matter shows how all Paul’s thought supports the idea of the continuity of the salvation history of Christ. Not less crucial is the intertextual approach, which shows how Paul bases his thought on the Old Testament parallels tied to the theme of the covenant that characterizes deuteronomistic and prophetic thought. The article points to an additional historical literary parallel to Luke, who presents Christ in the Apostolic Works as the fulfilment of Messianic expectations. The article shows how Paul invites his co...
