Bu çalışmada Dönme Dolap göstergebilimsel analize tabi tutularak göçmenlere yönelik "Kapımızdaki Yabancılar" tartışmasına atıfla çocuk coğrafyalarının eleştirel bir değerlendirilmesi yapılacaktır. Tülin Kozikoğlu'nun kaleme aldığı Hüseyin Sönmezay'ın resimlediği eser bu çalışmanın analiz nesnesidir. Gündelik hayatın mekânsal pratiği yerinden edilmiş çocuklar üzerine düşünme imkânı vermektedir. Çalışmada çocuk coğrafyaları tartışmasından hareketle zorunlu göçün yola çıkış, yol ve varış noktası olan genellenebilir üç aşamasıyla paralel üç farklı mekânsal görüngüsü tespit edilmiştir. Bunlar ev, kentsel mekân, karşılaşma mekânlarıdır. Çalışmanın alana çocuk edebiyatı ve çocuk coğrafyaları ilişkisini kurması ve göç olgusuna çocuk deneyimi üzerinden yaklaşması sebebiyle katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.

The purpose here is to clearly portray Camus's idea of the absurd. According to Albert Camus, human life is absurd, meaningless, irrational and illogical. So it can be said that, at first sight, his point of view is pessimistic and hopeless. But with a quick glance at his thoughts it can be seen that the journey that begins with hopelessness does not need to end in hopelessness. Life that ends with death is meaningless but amidst the beauty of life, the pain and desperation of inherent in it should not be ignored. Now that, we are living in this absurd, meaningless, irrational and illogical world, we have to create happiness ourselves. Happiness means loving humankind and the world without expecting anything. Camus says 'Where there is no hope, it is incumbent on us to invent it.' The character of Meursault in The Stranger does not think in the same way as most of society. The distance between this young character and others is clearly delineated. He looks coldly on all events in his life, including his mother's death. He accepts death as insensible. Life is meaningless for him. In the novel, we witness both his strength and the conflict that arises between Meursault and society. The Plague is about the struggle of a man against a plague epidemic which creates hopelessness in an entire city. The main character, Dr. Rieux, and his friends fight against it, and they become successful. Yet Dr. Rieux knows that this success is temporary and the plague will come back again. At the same time he is aware of the need to fight against evil as long as we live. Briefly, it can be said that 'hope' plays an important role in the world of Camus. We will read two of his novels with a different perspective to see the collocation of the 'absurd' and 'hope'. We will try to discover fragments of hope in the behaviors of Dr. Bernard Rieux, the narrator of The Plague, and Meursault, the absurd hero of The Stranger.
