Method: This cross-sectional study included 264 nurses working in public hospitals in Istanbul, Turkey. The data were gathered by using a snowball sampling method and analysed using descriptive statistical analyses, F test, t test, Pearson's correlation analysis and multiple and hierarchical linear regression analyses. Results: Results indicated that compulsory citizenship behaviours were positively associated with turnover intention and social loafing. Turnover intention fully mediated the relationship between compulsory citizenship behaviours and social loafing. Conclusion: Nurses who exhibit compulsory citizenship behaviours have developed turnover intentions to conserve their well-being, which led to social loafing as a resource recovery tactic. Implications for Nursing Management: Training should be provided for managers and nurses to raise awareness about the possible negative effects of compulsory citizenship behaviours. To manage social loafing and turnover intention, effective and proactive solution-oriented strategies should be implemented.

Method This descriptive and correlational study's sample consisted of the junior and senior students in the nursing faculty of a state university in Istanbul (n = 265). The data was collected using the Student Information Questionnaire, Career Adapt-Abilities Scale, Ten Item Personality Inventory, and Scale of University Students Entrepreneurship. Descriptive tests and Pearson's correlation analysis were used for data analysis. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to determine the variables that affect the career adaptability of nursing students. Results The mean points on the personality inventory sub-dimensions of nursing students were highest in conscientiousness (5.72, SD 1.29) and lowest in emotional stability (4.46, SD 1.33). The mean on the Scale of University Students Entrepreneurship was 135.2 (SD 19.50) and on the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale was 78.7 (SD 9.05). The significant relationship between the personality traits, entrepreneurship tendency, and career adaptability scores of the students was weak and moderate. The regression model used to determine the variables that affect the career adaptability of nursing students was significant. Of the variables in the model, entrepreneurship tendency and being a fourth-year student significantly influenced the total score on career adaptability. Conclusion The results showed a correlation between personality traits and career adaptability. In addition, there is a positive correlation between entrepreneurship tendency and career adaptability. The students with high entrepreneurship tendencies have better career adaptability. The results suggest that nursing education should improve entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial traits by considering the personality traits of students in order to ensure their adaptation to the nursing profession.

METHODS: Design of the study is descriptive. Population of the study consists of seventy-eight undergraduate nursing programs in the state universities in Turkey. The questionnaire prepared by the researchers was used as a data collection tool. The data were obtained by screening the content of the websites of nursing education programs between March and May 2016. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the data. RESULTS: Data obtained from research indicated that 58% of nursing undergraduate programs are conducted within the school of health, 81.1% of the responsible academic staff of nursing management course graduated from the undergraduate nursing programs, 40.7% of them worked as a lecturer and 37.3% of them specialized in a non-nursing area. It was determined that 94.8% of the programs examined in the study had a course in management field in nursing. The full name of the course was " Nursing Management " in 91% of the programs and the course was mandatory in 87.2% of the programs. Theory and clinical practice hours of the course were 3.13 and 2.91, respectively. In addition, 34.6% of the examined programs were found not to share the content of the nursing management course on the web page. CONCLUSION: This study demonstrated that the expertise of the academic staff teaching the " Nursing Management " course was not sufficient in the nursing management area, the schedule and content of the course were not sufficient although many nursing education programs provided the course. When the curriculum contents of the management course in nursing on the web pages of the universities are compared, it is seen that there are significant differences.

NIS score averages of the second-year students were lower than those of both the third-and the fourth-year students (p<0.05). Participants who did not have a nurse in the family had higher NIS score averages. Conclusion: Overall, it was determined that the majority of the participating students chose nursing for the purpose of easily securing a job, that the students held a negative perception of the profession and that the students had a dream profession other than that of nursing.
