National Doodle Day
at May 12th, 2011 (04:23 pm)
Bird's doodle for National Doodle Day is now up for auction on eBay - bid here. Other notables who have donated doodles this year include Gillian Anderson, Elizabeth Mitchell, Cory Monteith, and Bird's West Wing cohorts Martin Sheen and Joshua Malina. You can take a look at all the items here, with more auctions beginning tomorrow.
National Doodle Day is an annual online auction that benefits NF, Inc., an organization dedicated to providing support to individuals and families affected by neurofibromatosis (NF). Neurofibromatosis is a genetic disorder that affects one in every 2,500 births. NF is more common than Cystic Fibrosis, Muscular Dystrophy and Huntington's Disease combined. Funds raised from the Doodle Day auction will go to support education, advocacy, coalitions, and research for treatments and a cure.

Happy holidays, Bird fans! Just a little heads up in time for Christmas - Bird has released a fabulous version of "Let it Snow" as part of a compilation album for Safety Harbor Kids. The song is available here; the full album is here and also includes songs from Billy Idol, Jackson Browne & Inara George, Sheila E., and The Bird and the Bee, among others. It's also available on iTunes, so take a peek!
Also, I missed the boat on posting about this one, but Bird appeared on episode 8.10 of CSI: Miami at the beginning of December, so keep an eye out for reruns or on CBS.com.

Bird fans, mark October 9 on your calendar with a big red marker, and set your TiVo-like devices accordingly. She's going to be on NCIS AND on House that day!
Check out the articles here and here. (Beware of spoilers if you're skittish, though both blurbs are vague.) Though the NCIS article says October 11, the show airs on Tuesdays, which would make it the 9th (though I'll keep you posted if I'm wrong, which is, you know, not out of the realm of possibility). NCIS is 8/7c, and House is 9/8c. Back to back!
And here's a pic from NCIS - thanks to jackmaybenimble for the heads up!
