HomeGoods' longstanding partnership with Dana-Farber has helped impact research and care profoundly over the years. Since 2001, thanks to our associates and generous customers, we've raised more than $30 million nationwide through annual in-store fundraisers and the sale of charitable merchandise. Through Find Home Anywhere, together, we’re on a mission to help patients and families feel a sense of home and belonging throughout their care experience.
HomeGoods and Dana-Farber collaborated to design and launch a dedicated space for teen and young adult patients, who often feel isolated while undergoing treatment and crave a sense of belonging with patients their own age. HomeGoods also supports research that will help inform how to best care for young patients everywhere.
The HomeGoods Housing Grants Fund supports pediatric patient families who are experiencing financial challenges during treatment. Nearly two-thirds of Dana-Farber patient families require some degree of resource support during their child’s treatment. These grants, largely funded by the generous donations of our shoppers, focus on rent, mortgage, and other housing-related costs so patients and families have a safe, comfortable place to rest and recover. Since the launch of Find Home Anywhere, HomeGoods has helped provide assistance to more than 100 patient families across six states.
HomeGoods helped transform a teachers' lounge into a welcoming space after a taxing first year of remote learning & teaching post-pandemic. Every item in the redesigned lounge was sourced from HomeGoods to create a colorful and inviting space to reenergize and help foster connections between teachers.
HomeGoods also provided 100 teachers with gift cards and a virtual design consultation to help them reclaim a space in their home that was previously dedicated to virtual education.
To foster a sense of home for students at Historically Black Colleges & Universities, HomeGoods went to Florida A&M University in Tallahassee to revamp its student space at Gibbs Hall. The lounge was reimagined with the goal of creating both a functional and inspiring space for students and faculty to relax, study and promote well-being. The welcoming space fosters creativity with a game area, comfortable seating to gather with friends and a wall of positive affirmations.
