Mandela: The Official Exhibition weaves you through a timeline of Nelson Mandela’s life including:

• Meeting Mandela
  Get to know Nelson Mandela and learn of his accomplishments, from freedom fighter to president and humanitarian.
• Early Years (1918-1941)
  Learn about the people and places that shaped Mandela as a child and young man. Understand the roles these places played in defining his personality, philosophy and style of leadership.
• “The Struggle Is My Life” (1941-1964)
  See Nelson Mandela’s transformation as a lawyer and activist, a rising star in the African National Congress, and a thorn in the side of the nationalist government. Discuss the heavy cost of his defiance and the risks of doing what you believe is right—no matter the consequences.
• 10,000 Days: The Prison Years (1964-1990)
  Explore how Mandella’s personality, determination, and intellect set him apart as someone who was determined to show respect and kindness to all, encouraging others to do the same.
• Freedom? (1990-1994)
  Experience the elation of Mandela’s release from prison. Feel the uncertainty of the following years as millions of South Africans prepared to vote in the country’s first multiracial elections since the beginning of apartheid
