Artist Overview

Welcome to the all-new season of the Los Angeles Lakers In the Paint Art Program. This annual initiative spotlights stories from local artists of color and the meaningful artwork they produce throughout the Los Angeles community. Embedded into every part of LA’s culture, the Lakers love LA. The neighborhoods, the families, the individuals, the stories. This program reflects the Lakers’ relationship with Los Angeles. It’s rooted in expression.

We are all in the business of expression. It's the approach a player takes to the basket. The color palette an artist handpicks. The bridge a musician writes. The line an actor delivers. Expression is powerful. It's where distinction becomes your edge. Expression is an invitation for all to nonconformity. And Los Angeles’ reputation around the world is proof: expression has a lasting impact.
