Support The Good Foundation on North Texas Giving Day (original) (raw)
Transportation is a significant barrier to employment in Dallas, particularly for individuals in underserved communities. A lack of reliable transportation can prevent people from accessing job opportunities, contributing to higher unemployment rates and economic instability. As a second-chance employer with Ruthie's For Good and Dallas Doing Good, we recognize the impact this has on our workforce. 95% of our employees either do not have personal transportation or face daily challenges in getting to work due to limited access to affordable public transit, inconsistent work schedules, and the unavailability of reliable personal vehicles. These obstacles not only hinder their ability to maintain steady employment but also limit their potential for career growth.
This North Texas Giving Day we are addressing this issue for our employees to ease the transportation burden. The funds raised will go directly toward providing reliable transportation solutions to help our employees get to and from work without added stress. We invite you to join us in this effort to #FuelFutures, knowing that your support will directly impact the lives of those striving to overcome one of the barriers of employment: transportation.
VALUES
The Good Foundation believes in the power of community and the transformation that can happen when groups of people come together towards our common good. Founded in June of 2017 by Ashlee and Chris Kleinert, The Good Foundation (formerly known as The Kleinert Foundation), is a private family foundation with the mission of serving populations in need of a chance. Our values of Compassion, Innovation, Collaboration, Resource, and Community align and strengthen our collective identity. These values reflect our founders’ inspiration, character, and influence. While the Foundation will continue to evolve to ensure we are relevant and effective, our values will inform our decision-making.
