UKATA Celebrates Success at Contamination & Land Remediation Expo 2024 (original) (raw)
UKATA is proud to announce its successful presence at the Contamination & Land Remediation Expo 2024, 11 – 12 September, at the NEC in Birmingham.
Environmental Services & Solutions Expo (ESS), the world-leading event for the environmental services industry, saw the sector’s top players to showcase the latest innovative solutions, designs, technologies, and services.
During the two-day event, UKATA were joined by Mesothelioma UK, the national charity for anyone affected by mesothelioma. They exist to support people with mesothelioma to live better and live longer and to prevent mesothelioma happening to future generations. Charity representatives Jill Lemon and Liz Darlison MBE DL joined the team to promote awareness and raised in the region of £400 through two charity hampers.
UKATA member, Wayne Bagnall MBE delivered his session “Expect the Unexpected” which was a montage of asbestos and demolition projects over the years where contamination has been an issue, and the challenges and solutions when dealing with these, which led to much interest from the audience, Wayne was on stand throughout the show to support assisting delegates with technical queries.
Several UKATA members including Element Materials Technology Ltd, Oracle Solutions Asbestos Ltd and SOCOTEC exhibited at the exhibition, alongside industry associate Draeger Safety UK Ltd who were all showcasing their latest innovations and services.
UKATA’s team used the opportunity to network with potential members and associates, and support delegates with asbestos training enquiries. They also had the opportunity to attend CPD accredited seminars, enhancing skills, compliance and professional development.
Speaking of the exhibition, UKATA’s Events & Marketing Manager, Victoria Castelluccio said “Our dedicated team had a wonderful time connecting with industry leaders, supporting Mesothelioma UK and showcasing UKATA’s training portfolio. Special thanks to UKATA member, Wayne Bagnall for highlighting the risks associated with asbestos during his insightful seminar”.
