Elijah haunts Billy most often, Sean Astin and Viggo on occasion, Liv and Sean Bean and Pete once or twice, and Dom and Orlando not at all.

"Face it," Billy tells Dom on the phone, "I'm just more hauntable than you."

"Have you been haunted by-- anyone else, then?" Dom can't stop himself asking.

"I've felt so," Billy answers, a matter-of-fact flatness curdling his accent, "though no one's appeared to me like Elijah has. But I'm not surprised that I'm able to see him. He was a film star, after all. He was used to being seen."

Dom's toes curl in his trainers. He's never got comfortable with how readily Billy, accustomed to tragedy, uses the past tense for Lijah. Especially when Elijah's haunting him. Doesn't that make him still present? Still around, still present tense?
