It is characterized by variable and recurring symptoms, reversible airflow obstruction, and bronchospasm. Symptoms include episodes of wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath. These episodes may occur a few times a day or a few times per week. Depending on the person they may become worse at night or with exercise.
Asthma has become an epidemic now a days. Almost 300 million people
worldwide are suffering from asthma and 200,000 deaths annually can be attributed to asthma. The worst part is that almost all of the deaths can be avoided if proper medical care is provided to patient in time.
This report is about effort to make a device which can predict occurrence of asthma attack in a patient based on certain internal and external parameters. This report also aims to highlight use of various Artificial Intelligence Systems like Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Expert System in medical field and how they can be implemented in device for immaculate prediction.
