Doch erst nach einigen Irrungen und Wirrungen setzt sich die chinesische Musikwissenschaft systematisch und detailgenau analysierend mit seinen Werken auseinander.
There are many different ways in which Adorno is explored in China. However, it is only after some twists and turns that Chinese musicology is systematically analysing his works in detail.

human beings and the universe has lived on in many cultures. This order has often
been expressed in geometric or musical-harmonic terms. From Pythagoras to Kepler,
universal scholars were firmly convinced that this order represented the primordial
code of all things. This chapter explores a new interdisciplinary perspective that
combines the fields of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), music theory, and Keple-
rian astronomical insights. By means of corresponding mathematical analyses, it is
shown that the energy meridians of the human body correspond to a specific musical-
harmonic order, which in turn is inextricably linked to certain relational aspects of the
celestial bodies of our solar system. The study represents completely new discoveries
in relation to this universal connection. In doing so, it also opens up new levels of
understanding and provides new aspects for the further development of the concept
of cosmic life.

This work was composed for the "Tagung für Didaktik der Mathematik" at Carl von Ossietzky Universität in Oldenburg in March 2009. The reason of writing this work is to form a musical piece built entirely on a mathematical systematic idea, Sudoku being the best example.

followed in four steps in relation to four historical periods of the reception: (1) first encounters with Adorno‘s philosophy of music from the late 1970s to the late 1980s; (2) a more extended discussion during the first half of the 1990s; (3) a phase of critique and declining interest during the second half of the 1990s; (4) a new and more mature phase since the beginning of the new millennium. This includes a critical prospection of the historical research topics, methods, and perspectives of the most important and most
representative works of each phase as well as a reflection on the general problems of the reception during each phase.

But globalization is much older than its name. As a process becoming a reality in cross-cultural musical cultures, the globalization of music is by no means peculiar to the present era. It runs through the entire entangled history of music, driving one change of musical style after another, always provoking new aesthetic trends. This paper briefly examines the cross-cultural character of contemporary Chinese music and some of the problems which have been encountered in this context. In the first part, the topic of the globalization of music is introduced from a general perspective. The second segment is about the influence of musical or cultural globalization in China approximately during the last one-hundred years. The reflection on the problems to be gathered in this context then leads to the presentation of a catalogue of possible solutions in regard to the development of musical diversity in China.

In this sense, this edited volume represents a multidisciplinary and transcultural polylogue of distinguished authors from three continents, which aims to establish highly innovative perspectives and open new frontiers of developing philosophical reflections and scientific foundations for the emergence of a common cosmic consciousness, for an integral ecology, and for a cooperative planetary civilization of humanity.
John B. Cobb, Jr. uses a process-philosophical foundation to describe life as living events expressing novelty and the cosmos as a process of self-enriching and self-evolving “Life Itself.” Chandra Wickramasinghe unfolds his scientific and philosophical perspective on cosmic life in twelve successive steps, offering a wide range of arguments and insights that support an up-to-date theory of panspermia. Attila Grandpierre presents the "Cosmic Life Principle" and the comprehensive science based upon it that is inextricably linked to the healthy and cooperative civilization, to the biological laws of nature, to the laws of logic, to the uplifting of the well-being of people and ecological communities. Chunyou Yan introduces the approach of his holographic philosophy, according to which the universe must be understood as a vast living entity, every aspect of which represents life. Bei Peng shows that the proportions of energy meridians in traditional Chinese medicine correspond to musical intervals, and on this basis she demonstrates the analogy of the human body to macrocosmic phenomena. David Bartosch offers an examination of three important systematic foundations for a poly-contextural, transcultural philosophy of cosmic life with roots in Greek, Chinese, South and West Asian, and European traditions of thought.

Between 1909 and 1924, a number of essays and monographs on the history of Chinese philosophy were published in the German-speaking contexts, and by investigating the educational backgrounds and research results of the authors, as well as the backgrounds of the authors, the frameworks for presenting the content, and the influence of these works, an overview of the study of Chinese philosophy in in the German language during that period can be outlined. By analyzing the scope of knowledge of Chinese philosophy and the general construction of the framework for the history of Chinese philosophy in German-speaking academia at that time, it is possible to discern some of the core issues at stake in the study of Chinese philosophy and the history of philosophy in Europe. The process and manner of the reception and dissemination of the history of pre-modern Chinese philosophy in the German-speaking region, a field that has not yet been addressed sufficiently by German and Chinese academics, deserves to be studied and completed.]
