Islam merupakan ajaran yang mencakup seluruh bidang kehidupan. Tantangan terbesar saat ini adalah... more Islam merupakan ajaran yang mencakup seluruh bidang kehidupan. Tantangan terbesar saat ini adalah bagaimana mengekstraksi prinsip-prinsip ekonomi dalam Al-Qur'an dan hadits, kemudian menurunkannya menjadi sebuah body of knowledge sekaligus membangunnya menjadi sebuah disiplin ilmu yang secara teoritis dan praktis berbeda signifikan dengan mazhab-mazhab ilmu ekonomi konvensional yang ada. Namun muncul kritik bahwa ekonomi syariah hanya "mengekor" ekonomi konvensional semata, sehingga orisinalitas keilmuannya sering dipertanyakan. Dalam proses islamisasi ekonomi, yang telah dilakukan, yaitu melaui pengembangan alat ukur kesejahteraan dan kemiskinan yang didasarkan pada konsep syariah dengan Model CIBEST. Model CIBEST adalah upaya untuk mengembangkan pendekatan kesejahteraan kemiskinan yang didasarkan pada konsepsi bahwa alat untuk mengukur kesejahteraan dan kemiskinan tidak semata mata didasarkan pada material semata, namun juga pendekatan spiritual. Hal ini didasarkan pada konsep pemenuhan kebutuhan, dimana al-Quran dan Hadis telah menggariskan bahwa pada dasarnya kebutuhan manusia terdiri atas dua hal, yaitu kebutuhan material dan spiritual.

This paper aims to discover knowledge of the current global zakat administration from virtual events of zakat (e.g. webinars) on YouTube and Zoom via text mining approach. Design/methodology/approach The authors purposefully sampled 12 experts from four different virtual zakat events on YouTube and Zoom. The automated text transcription software is used to pull the information from the sampled videos into text documents. A qualitative analysis is operated using text mining approach via machine learning tool (i.e. Orange Data Mining). The data used in this study were the results of interviews with zakat managers (OPZ) in South Kalimantan (BAZNAS and LAZNAS). Besides practitioners, it also involved experts from various universities in South Kalimantan.Findings – The results showed that most zakat institutions in South Kalimantan, Most zakat institutions have a good understanding and readiness to shift to digital platforms. As monetary authority, Bank Indonesia has developed Islamic Bank Indonesia Certificate (abbreviat... more As monetary authority, Bank Indonesia has developed Islamic Bank Indonesia Certificate (abbreviated as SBIS) as Islamic monetary instrument in addition to Bank Indonesia Certificate (known as SBI), which has become conventional instrument. Both instruments play significant role in the transmission of monetary instrument towards real sector of the economy. Monetary transmission could take place through credit channel or financing channel, from which the fund is used as the source of credit and financing for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME). This study aims at analyzing the impact of both Islamic and conventional monetary instruments towards MSME financing. Data used in this research is taken from Bank Indonesia, Ministry of Cooperative and SME, and Central Board of Statistics for the period of May 2006 until December 2010. The study employs Vector Auto Regression model, Impulse Response Function technique and Forecast Error Variance Decomposition (FEVD) as its analytical methods. It is found that SBI and SBIS have significant impact towards credit and financing to the MSME. When there is monetary shock, the study finds that MSME financing of Islamic bank could be recovered and stabilized better than MSME credit of conventional bank. FEVD analysis shows that the impact of SBIS towards financing of MSME is bigger than the SBI.

Hal ini menyebabkan standarisasi fiqih asnaf (kelompok penerima) zakat menjadi sangat penting. Di dalam aplikasinya, standar fiqih asnaf yang digunakan oleh sebuah Negara berbeda dengan Negara lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis fiqih asnaf zakat di Indonesia dengan mengambil studi kasus Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (BAZNAS). Standarisasi asnaf yang BAZNAS tentukan berdasarkan 11 pasal yang terdapat di dalam Surat Keputusan dewan pengawas BAZNAS. Dewan ini memiliki otoritas dalam menentukan standar syariah program BAZNAS. Terdapat beberapa konsep baru yang diperkenalkan di antaranya zakat muqayyadah. Selain itu, standar kemiskinan yang ditetapkan adalah 2 dollar per kapita per hari. Selain itu, beberapa isu penting terkait fiqih asnaf ini dibahas secara lebih mendalam.

Purpose: This paper measures the impact of zakat on beneficiary mustahiq beneficiaries in Tanah D... more Purpose: This paper measures the impact of zakat on beneficiary mustahiq beneficiaries in Tanah Datar Animal Husbandry programs Design/methodology/approach: This research uses quantitative methods with a measurement model of Sustainability Livelihood Impact Assessment (SLIA). Findings: The results showed that the Tanah Datar Animal Husbandry program had quite an impact on the increase in Mustahik Community Assets. This is seen from the increase in 5 (five) SLIA assets with a variant value of 1.09 points. The highest increase occurred in Social Assets with a variant value of 1.25. Meanwhile, the lowest increase was in Natural Assets with a variant value of 0.93 points. For Financial Assets, there was an increase in changes with a variant value of 1.19, which shows the high impact of the Tanah Datar Animal Husbandry program on increasing the income of mustahik families. One of the innovation is through cooperation between BAZNAS and Laku Pandai which aims to achieve Zakah inclusion so that the collection and distribution of Zakah in Indonesia can increase. This study aims to analyze the strategic priorities for BAZNAS in running cooperation with Laku Pandai. This study used SWOT-ANP method with respondents as many as five expert respondents. The strategies derived from this research are the result of the formulation of a combination of SWOT factors. The main findings of this study indicate that the main priority of the overall strategy is strengthening the synergy of BAZNAS with the Laku Pandai of sharia banking.

One of the major challenges faced by most of the Islamic countries is poverty. This paper attempts to construct the concept of poverty and welfare standards based on Islamic perspective.The study tries to cover both material and spiritual dimensions. These standards are based on CIBEST Quadrant, which is divided into four quadrants: welfare quadrant (I), material poverty quadrant (II), spiritual poverty quadrant (III) and absolute poverty quadrant (IV). Determination of these quadrants is resulted from criteria and indicators of basic material needs and basic spiritual needs. By using household as unit of analysis, this study is able to developCIBEST Model comprising welfare index, material poverty index, spiritual poverty index, and absolute poverty index. Mathematical formula and illustration of the indices are also elaborated to strengthen the concept.

Economic issues of Ibn Khaldun, wich were examined in this papers, included agriculture concept, supply and demand analysis, and price interdependence. This papers found that Ibn Khaldun was able to identify three main sectors that become the foundation og GDP calculation of a country. It was also able to find that demand difference in two different countries is the basis for the existance of international trade. People's desire and government spending were found to be the found to be the variables affecting aggregate demand, while product scarcity and production cost were found to be the variables affecting aggregate supply. This papers also found that Ibn Khaldun has successfully described the interdependence between price of agriculture product and government employees' salary.

Purpose: This paper measures the impact of zakat on beneficiary mustahiq beneficiaries in Tanah D... more Purpose: This paper measures the impact of zakat on beneficiary mustahiq beneficiaries in Tanah Datar Animal Husbandry programs Design/methodology/approach: This research uses quantitative methods with a measurement model of Sustainability Livelihood Impact Assessment (SLIA). Findings: The results showed that the Tanah Datar Animal Husbandry program had quite an impact on the increase in Mustahik Community Assets. This is seen from the increase in 5 (five) SLIA assets with a variant value of 1.09 points. The highest increase occurred in Social Assets with a variant value of 1.25. Meanwhile, the lowest increase was in Natural Assets with a variant value of 0.93 points. For Financial Assets, there was an increase in changes with a variant value of 1.19, which shows the high impact of the Tanah Datar Animal Husbandry program on increasing the income of mustahik families. One of the innovation is through cooperation between BAZNAS and Laku Pandai which aims to achieve Zakah inclusion so that the collection and distribution of Zakah in Indonesia can increase. This study aims to analyze the strategic priorities for BAZNAS in running cooperation with Laku Pandai. This study used SWOT-ANP method with respondents as many as five expert respondents. The strategies derived from this research are the result of the formulation of a combination of SWOT factors. The main findings of this study indicate that the main priority of the overall strategy is strengthening the synergy of BAZNAS with the Laku Pandai of sharia banking.

One of the major challenges faced by most of the Islamic countries is poverty. This paper attempts to construct the concept of poverty and welfare standards based on Islamic perspective.The study tries to cover both material and spiritual dimensions. These standards are based on CIBEST Quadrant, which is divided into four quadrants: welfare quadrant (I), material poverty quadrant (II), spiritual poverty quadrant (III) and absolute poverty quadrant (IV). Determination of these quadrants is resulted from criteria and indicators of basic material needs and basic spiritual needs. By using household as unit of analysis, this study is able to developCIBEST Model comprising welfare index, material poverty index, spiritual poverty index, and absolute poverty index. Mathematical formula and illustration of the indices are also elaborated to strengthen the concept.

Economic issues of Ibn Khaldun, wich were examined in this papers, included agriculture concept, supply and demand analysis, and price interdependence. This papers found that Ibn Khaldun was able to identify three main sectors that become the foundation og GDP calculation of a country. It was also able to find that demand difference in two different countries is the basis for the existance of international trade. People's desire and government spending were found to be the found to be the variables affecting aggregate demand, while product scarcity and production cost were found to be the variables affecting aggregate supply. This papers also found that Ibn Khaldun has successfully described the interdependence between price of agriculture product and government employees' salary.
