The life and times of Lord Boyzici (original) (raw)
alphabetzoo, Phil and Jonny came over last night for pizza and we also watched Stigmata which I enjoyed a lot. As a kid I was intrigued by reported incidents of the Stigmata and I read lots of those cheap conspiracy books about it.
I saw Amelie (the film and not the girl) at the weekend. I really loved it. Has anyone else seen it? What did you think? A potentially amusing IMDB is taking place as a result of the film, members can see it here. Anyhow, if you havent seen the film then do - it is stunning.
My old school has had more stunningly good media exposure. What are the chances of five members of a 100 strong monastic community all being into kiddy fiddling? I wonder how many more there are waiting for the police to exchange their cells for umm cells. Anyhow, The Times' story is here
Radio 5 just had a phone in about homophobia. The expert they had in the studio happened to be a fellah called Jonathon who I have met a couple of times as he works for a charity for which Nigel (who I mention a lot) is a trustee. The first woman was saying that she grew up in a typical Carribean family and as a result she felt embarressed by the sight of two men holding hands or kissing in public. I dont think Jonathon dealt with her too well. He had to make sure he didnt antagonise her but at the same time he played it a little too soft. I would have told her that I felt uncomfortable talking with her because she was black and then seen what her reaction was
Back to entertainment - has anyone seen Arrested Development? I caught an episode late at night and based on that bought the boxset. I am only about six episodes into series 1 but I am loving it. So far it is ranking up there with the best tv comedy.
