So I staked £32 and received £142.50. So not a bad World Cup for my wallet - although I'd still prefer it if England won. The money is earmarked for something which I will reveal down the line.

To complete the betting - I played in two big poker tournements over the weekend. Both were free to enter (you need to have played a set amount of hands in the previous 24 hours) and the top ten people are given free enty into a game with $20,000 of prizes. In the first 522 took aprt and I came 32nd and in the other one 496 took part and I came 24th. So although I won nothing I was still pleased with my final placings.

And off topic: There will be another plane crash soon. They always happen in threes (Ive said this several times on my LJ) and there has recently been one in Russia and one in Pakistan. So keep your eyes peeled - you heard it here first!
