The life and times of Lord Boyzici (original) (raw)

It's been a busy old weekend which started with the bbq on Friday night, but I've already written about that. On Saturday Teresa came to stay. Only problem is she was getting a lift to Bristol and she arrived at 8am - I went to bed sometime after 3 the night before so I made less sense than usual in the morning. Late morning I helped my cousin move house. It was hard hard work in the heat but it was quite satisfying getting it done. A cold bath and beer later and I was all set for Ashton Court. Ashton Court is a two day cheap music festival near Bristol. We queued over an hour for a bus - but it certainly beat walking. We had quite a good spot some way from the main stage but we had a good view. We took the mother of all picnics and washed it down with a bottle of vodka. There was quite a good crowd of us there and it was good catching up with people. (Shay) Matt and Sergio came along and I couldn't work out how Matt knew most of my friends - then I realised we did a road trip with a bunch of people to Sheffield a couple of years ago (when I last saw ataraxia_seny. Anyhow, I digress. We stayed there all day just sitting in the sun, eating and drinking. I also tried laughing gas which was a weird sensation.
We managed to catch one of the last buses home around midnight and met up with people in town - but we were too knackered to do anything so Teresa and I came home. The following day we went down to St Andrews Park - passing deejake along the way and met Paco for breakfast/lunch before meeting some people from the day before in the park. One fellah, Haggis, bought his six foot Python along - which garnered a few looks from people.
And that was my weekend. The next few weeks are also going to be busy. My next free one is in Mid-Sept :S
