At the weekend my team won the UK poker amateur team title. We were the defending champions and we also won it in 2008. So not a bad record really. We won it by a country mile too. Individually I finished in 5th place from 200 entries and was chuffed to bits with that. Being at an amateur level means we aren't going to get rich, but I got £650 for my efforts which will help me along with my Africa trip. I fly out in early March with a friend. We'll be in Tanzania for 3 weeks, so expect more updates then.
