Of course, then regular radio broadcasters would want to put a picture on their program or something. Maybe the TV could provide a substitute picture for the picture-less broadcasts. Either way, it would be cool to have a scanner radio with a picture. You'd be able to get regular TV and everything. (comment on this) Monday, November 13th, 2006 11:52 am - The Intermec label machine akktri The Intermec label machine they use at Honeywell really sucks. If you move an item, and want ten labels for the boxes you're moving, if you move out of that subset in order to stock another item, it will print out ten labels for that item, too, even if you only need one friggin' label. My solution was to print out only one label for those ten items, and just move them over. I'd complain on the Intermec website, but I doubt anyone would listen. I just have to say this: c'mon, people! Can't you do something to stop all these damn labels from printing out? I get tired of running back and forth to get more labels! I want to get as many people as I can to buy and listen to or watch a mystery tape and tell me what's on it, even if it's blank. That is your assignment.I'll begin with a tape I've listened to.On the tape I found (it was either a bad recording of Howie Mandell or Phil Collins), I discovered a recording of a man having a phone conversation with someone. I think he was either talking with his doctor, or it was in Spanish. It's been awhile since I listened to it, but it was really bizarre. Perhaps someone could come up with a better program by brainstorming about it.I recently posted comments on the Adobe Illustrator forums. Instead of being smart and at least making some attempt at solving the problem, I instead received this message:"That is beyond the control of any programmer at Adobe or anywhere else. The font was designed with a lot of segments."I was asking for fixes in the program when they made a new version of the program. Instead, I got that message. Furthermore, instead of saying they'd fix the problems I mentioned in other postings, they merely suggested ways I had to kiss up to the program and use their user unfriendly methods to work around the glitches. In other words, "The program is perfect, you just need to know how to use it, stupid."Below is the message that got the reply shown above. They may have answered some of the points in other postings, but I doubt it. (comment on this) Saturday, February 25th, 2006 7:57 pm - Comments on Paperport Onetouch 5300 Scanner akktri I think this posting is suitable for brainstormers because I'm looking for ideas on how I could do better next time. Any and all comments and suggestions are welcome. If none occur, then at least someone with a similar scanner may discover some possible solutions to their problem, as I have come to a solution my most recent problem.My Onetouch 5300 works fine, for the most part, even though I use Windows XP with it.I get an error message when I open the Paperport program, but that's not the problem.The thing that makes me want to throw the damn thing in the trash is the fact that it blurs my pictures and makes an annoying buzzing sound whenever I try to scan certain types of pictures.I'm trying to use Paperport to import images into Photoshop.It won't do magazine pages, it won't scan glossy black and white pictures from books, and if I draw a picture on orange construction paper with certain types of pens, it will buzz. Also, recently, it has developed a dislike for pictures drawn on lazer paper. I tried putting colored paper behind the white paper, I tried moving it around on the scanner bed (it worked for the orange construction paper because it covered the glass), but the lazer paper is too small. I tried scanning it in in black and white (the picture is black and white) and in color. I tried using purple construction paper behind it and black construction paper. I tried it with wordpad and without wordpad open. It still made those damn buzzing sounds. I want to smash the scanner to bits, but then I wouldn't have a scanner to use. 400 dpi doesn't work in color or in black and white. Descreening doesn't help.I tried restarting, I tried taping white paper to the drawing and putting white paper over the uncovered scanner surface. I even covered the back of the drawing with white paper. No luck. I even went to Kinkos and made copies of the pictures and tried scanning again. Still it came out blurred.Apparently, the scanner bar in the scanner stops in the middle of the machine. I moved the scanner further in on the desk and held the power plug and it stopped malfunctioning. I guess the connection was bad. And then he could cook a deep dish pizza with "Gibroneys."3. Drier Lint ClothingYou know how driers always have all this lint on the trap? Whydoesn't someone make some clothing out of them? See yourself in this position.You have a year living at home.-You can take a full-time job, earning more money for living on your own next year, but will have to stay idle for a whole year (your friends are boring).-Or you can take a part-time job, making less money, and go to the local university taking Theatrical Design. _Maybe you will make some friends._What do you do?You're also not sure if Theatrical Design (costuming, sound design, lighting, set design) suits you, but would like to learn how to make clothes for yourself. You have to take Acting for a year, and you hate presenting in front of people. (This whole program will be good for the next part.)You're mainly interested in pursuing a career in film. You especially like mixing liveaction with animation. You would never go so far as working on a frame-by-frame movie work for Disney._So would you take an animation program in the future? Or film program?_The very last knot is the fact that parents will be paying for some of your schooling.
