With the advancement of neonatal care outcome of gastroschisis is improving worldwide but the result is disappointing in our center. Several factors adversely affect the outcome. The aim of this study was to identify the factors influencing the adverse outcome and where to focus to improve the situation. Materials and methods: It was a retrospective analytical study done in Dhaka Shishu (Children) Hospital from March 2014 to April 2017. Data were collected from hospital record. All patients admitted with gastroschisis during the study period were included and grouped into A (survived) and B (expired). Factors influencing the outcome were compared between two groups. This study presents the findings on the contribution of women’s income generating activities to t... more This study presents the findings on the contribution of women’s income generating activities to the household income in Rangpur Urban area. The overall objective of the study was to assess the extent to which women’s income-generating activities contributed to household income. The specific objectives were: to identify types of income-generating activities undertaken by women in the study area, determine contribution of women’s income-generating activities to the household income, and lastly to determine factors affecting performance of women’s. The study adopted cross-sectional research design where structured questionnaire using open and closed ended questionnaire was used to collect primary information from a sample study identified that selling of market related products to be the most economic activities undertaken by women in the study area .The study also identified access to credit and training to be the major constraints for development of income generating activities undertaken by women in the study area. Therefore in order to improve women’s income generating activities performance, the study recommended the following: development planners, policy makers and development agencies at national and local level.
