Hi, everybody!
I need Your help!
I am a journalist from Russia and I am looking for a way to contact Terry Pratchett. I e-mailed his agent, but got no reply. Could You help me, please?

Just to let everyone know, I have still got some Night Watch related teeshirts left, that I'm selling to raise funds for Mind the Mental Health Charity. Thanks to everyone who's bought one so far, but I still have some left and they aren't doing me any good in my bedroom!
I've got Large and Xlarge left - I'm a size 16(UK) 18(US) and the large fits me fine. It'll be £13.50 for those in the UK and $30.00 for those in the US, postage included.
( Here's a pictureCollapse )
Please help me reach my goal of £2600 - I've got £900 so far...

To the author of this community, please feel free to delete this post if you feel it's a bit cheeky etc..
We're a group of writers who have known each other since we were about 5, and have built up ideas about a fantasy world to the point that these are now quite detailed. We have talked about writing it down for a while, but we've always been quite worried / embarrassed about doing so because we're not actually writers!
The new years resolution was to finally start writing it down. We decided last week that LJ might be a good medium to release it, because it means we could keep anonymity and also that we could all dip in and update it. I'd say Terry Pratchett was among one of our biggest influences. Therefore, we set up this user and started writing.
baberfied_world (Probably age 15+ only, but have absolutely no idea!)
We'd really appreciate it if as many people as possible added the user and let us know what they think, as we're really interested to see if people enjoy reading it as much as we enjoy writing it. We're releasing it piece by piece in the order we think is best to introduce the world to, well, the world!
Thanks,
One of the baberfied world authors.

Anyone have any idea what's happening at tomorrow's meeting and who exactly should be going. I know myself and meatina will be going, anyone else from the committee? I'm going, I'm 4th in command and I have no idea what the agenda is for tomorrow! Sounds good doesn't it?
Oh and while I'm here, when do we have to sign up for treasurer training by?

A Play! Madcap Theatre (Milton Keynes) is putting on Witches Abroad in December (Thursday 9th-Saturday 11th, 7:30pm, plus a 2:30pm Saturday matinee). It runs for three hours. It's £8 (£5 concessions). Right. No idea if arranging a trip to see this would be feasible. Thought I'd let you know though. If you want more information go to www.madcap.org.uk

Library It's been suggested that DiscSoc have a library of Terry Pratchett books to lend out to members. I'm more than willing to be the librarian. The membership cards could double as library cards.
But we need to gather said books. I suggest the faculty gather funds given to us by the guild and scour charity shops for them. Members could email their requests and I could bring them to the next meeting. This would be on a first-come first served basis. We would have to decide how long the books could be lent for, and also what happens if a book is damaged/lost due to negligance.
Sci-Fi soc has a library I hear, does anyone know how they handle these things?
ooook.
