Identification

Slender body; broad wings as in Geometer moths, but abdomen as long or longer than hind wings (in most Geometers, the abdomen is shorter than the hind wings). Many species are brightly colored and boldly patterned.

Range

Predominantly tropical but represented throughout United States and southern Canada.

Life Cycle

Larvae fold leaves or bore in stems and fruits of food plants.
