Moth - Apoda y-inversum (original) (raw)
Clickable Guide
Possibly Abbreviated Button Slug Moth -- Tortricidia flexuosa. But read the following a quote from MPG:"In Dave Wagner's fine Caterpillars of Eastern North America, p.32, he states: "..... there are no adult characters (including genitalia) that can be used to reliably separate the adults of the Red-crossed Button Slug from those of the Abbreviated Button Slug." He goes on to suggest that the two may not be distinct species. The pale to relatively unmarked forms are here grouped under pallida as a matter of convenience."Gary |
