This study investigated the adsorption capacities of Pb and Cd onto ARHC and URHC made out of rice husks, available as agriculture waste. The effect of various parameters such as pH, adsorbent dose, adsorbent concentration, and contact time on the removal of Pb and Cd by ARHC and URHC were also examined. It was discovered that adsorption capacity decreases with an increase in pH solution this so because the available Pb and Cd molecules are not able to cover all the exchangeable sites on the biosorbent. The equilibrium data fitted with Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models, but best fitted with the Langmuir isotherm model. The adsorption kinetics for this study was best described by the pseudo-second-order kinetics.

Although, the results of this study have shown a significant reduction in compressive strength of concrete utilizing LBWA than normal concrete, it could be recommended that LBWA concrete should be used in road kerbs, concrete blocks, non-bearing concrete walls, precast units (partition walls, concrete blocks for Architectural applications and some cases of slabs on soil, culverts, sidewalks, drive ways), foundation pads for machinery, etc.
