For this, a small sample of 120 (60 boys and 60 girls) was drawn from a co-education school of South Odisha, India. The data obtained through a pre-tested schedule-cum-questionnaire having both open and closed ended questions after considerable rapport was established. Close observations were made for a little more than two months on activities of the children in-situ during recess period on every working day continuously. It hypothesises that emotional intelligence is directly proportional to the academic achievements of school going children with significant difference between boys and girls. The result of the analysis at the outset indicated that boys have a higher value of understanding concerning the different dimensions of emotional intelligence than girls. However, there is no significant difference of the ‘t’ value (at 5% level of significance) between the boys and the girls regarding understating of the emotional dimensions. Thus, it is ascertained that irrespective of gender, the manifestation of emotional intelligence remains unaltered. Thus, the proposition of boys being better than girls is falsified. However, it was observed that those who suffer from strong wanted-control differ in their emotional intelligence and academic achievement from those who have least wanted - control.

Anybody doing the job has a vast variation in the potential, which is the starting point of stress. Phenomena of stress must be recognized and interacted with in various professionsin the teaching and non-teaching profession. In recent years inclusive education has risen to prominence, which changed the usual roles of teachers, from employing a "talk and chalk" method to being more pupil-centered. Non-teaching employees also are suffering from stress. Non-teaching employees are also affected by stress. The study's objective was the role of stress among teaching employees and non-teaching employees with the help of 60 samples. The researcher used a stress-scale to measure the level of stress among teaching and non-teaching employees. The Stress Scales (S-scale), developed by Dr Telindker Kaur, Dr Prerna Puri and Prof. Anju Mehta, were used to measure stresses. The 't' test revealed a significant difference between teaching non-teaching staff concerning their stress score. Teachers are more stressed as compared to non-teaching staff.

Patients with homozygous condition suffer from chronic haemolytic anaemia and lead a threatened life. The patient's life terminates with multiple organ failure that include stroke, a vascular necrosis, chronic lungs disease and chronic renal failure. The patients adopt different strategies to cope up with the demanding situations both in biological and sociocultural frontiers of life. Data have been collected through interpersonal informal interactions and schedule-cumquestionnaire while observing the body language of the respondents, from 38 male and 62 female sickle cell anaemia patients who attended VSS Medical College Hospital during last three years. The tools used to elicit data on health profile by instruments like anthropometric kit, observation of symptoms, blood transfusion data, socio-economic condition and nutritional status through schedule-cum-questionnaire, clinical examination from hospital records, and the coping strategies adopted in order to mitigate the biocultural problems. The major finding of the study revealed that that patients prefer to consult allopathic physicians and inclined to drug intake. They suffer from sickle-cell trait (ST) severe sickle-cell anaemia (SS). Majority belongs to marginalised communities such as Scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and socioeconomically backward classes. Due to economic condition they take advice of the medicine experts of public health centres and depend on recommended food and medicine like Folic Acid and Durea to avoid pain and assume balanced haemoglobin level. Enduring pain is a form of coping strategy besides their change in food pattern and the avoiding strenuous work pressure. The lucky few severe patients infuse blood to sustain life.
