Twice as nice?

We currently have a 6 year old female Burmese. We used to have two other mixed cats in the house, but they are now outside kitties due to pee issues. Their ousting has been a bit hard on our Burmese, Zoey. She has become quite the meow-er, even though the ousting was about 6 months ago. We're wondering if getting her a Burm buddy would make her happy to have some kitty company (she doesn't pay much mind to the dogs, but she does enjoy playing with us and our 19 month old daughter).
Anyone have any experience with having one Burmese and introducing a second later on? More meowing? Happier kitty? Any other insights?

Just thought I'd post some pictures of my new kitten Jemima. She's a lilac Burmese and I brought her home on Sunday. She's underweight and quite babyish for 13 weeks old but is already starting to come out of her shell and romp around the house and I'm giving her lots of love and attention. She was one of a litter of 7 and had some very big brothers who bullied her so she didn't always get enough wet food as she was the smallest of the litter.
She's very sweet, with the biggest eyes. Her big brother, my snowshoe cat Harley, who is 11 months old, is fascinated by her and plays with her whenever she's up for it - although sometimes he gets a little rough and I have to step in to calm things down but she seems to like him and he adores her and can't take his eyes off her. She's incredibly affectionate and has a purr like a motor - it's hard to believe something so loud can come from someone so small! She currently weighs 923 grams so she really is tiny.
She's sitting on my shoulder watching the screen as I make this post!

Happy New Year!
As you know I post a gazillion pics in a gazillion communities. I don't plan on spending as much time at the computer but would still like to share pics with you guys.
My 5 kids love to pose and you all love Wyatt & Co.
So I urge you to become my LJ friend so you can continue to enjoy the pics and videos I post. I will continue to post pics on my personal journal and try to not post in so many communities. Takes too much of my time and I need to focus on school and work!
Picture posts will be open to anyone. I don't do many personal entries but for the most part they will be limited to my friends or those who I talk to more on LJ.
SO ADD ME IF YOU LOVE WYATT!!!! (or Ty. or Zoey. or Kahlua. Or Skye.)
(otherwise you might not see lots of pics of him or others)

I changed the bed by the heater to a bigger one. Not sure if this one is a better fit for Kahlua & Skye or not. What do you think?

I desperately need some advice over my kitten, before I completely lose my mind.
Sorry, not the most positive way to introduce myself here.

I really don't get lots of chances to take pictures of my 8 year old Burmese Kahlua. But I got one!
