Rev Loshick Nhumburudzi is a Theological Lecturer who studied Peace and Governance (MScPG) Bindura University of Science Education. He has interest in African women emancipation especially in Pentecostal Churches in Zimbabwe. His first research, "Acceptability of lady pastors in the Apostolic Faith Mission in Zimbabwe Church" got a distinction from Zimbabwe Open University through Domboshawa Theological College, Harare, Zimbabwe. His second research, Leadership Succession in Zimbabwe’s Pentecostal Churches:The Case of Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa (Zaoga) and ApostolicFaith Mission in Zimbabwe (Afm)" has been published in Current Educational Research 1(2): 63-71, 2017ISSN: XXXX-XXXX © 2017, CER. Rev L. Nhumburudzi continues to pursue research studies in the fight for women emancipation, even through his Biblical Church sermons where he misters.

The Zimbabwean government is a signatory to various regional and international conventions, treaties, declarations and protocols that seek to promote and create an enabling environment for the attainment of gender equality and women's empowerment. Zimbabwe signed the Convention on the Elimination of All forms of Violence Against Women (CEDAW) (1991), Convention on Civil and Political Rights (CCPR) and the Global Platform for Action and Beijing Declaration (1995). On regional level, Zimbabwe signed in 1997 the SADC Declaration on Gender and Development, and the Prevention and Eradication of Violence Against Women and Children. Influenced by the international and regional developments in gender sensitivity, various bodies in the country emerged to address gender issues, but particularly on the emancipation of women.
