Most of my articles are available at Butler University's Scholarworks until I can shift them over to here: http://works.bepress.com/jeana\_jorgensen/
With a PhD in folklore, specializing in narrative and gender studies, I teach as an adjunct professor, write/blog for both public and academic audiences, and work in the sex education arena. My areas of research include gender and sexuality in fairy tales and pop culture, feminist and queer theory, dance, body art, the history of sex education, sex-positive approaches to communication and culture, and women's folklore.
I'm also a professional dancer, so don't be surprised when you Google me and find me spinning fire, performing with the American Tribal Style Belly Dance troupe I direct, or messing around in creative collaborations with various friends and colleagues.
