Methods: To find pertinent studies from the time these databases were created, we conducted electronic searches in Google Scholar, the PubMed library, and the Ayurvedic textbooks Charak Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, and Ashtanga Hridya. Conclusion: We all defecate regularly, and maintaining one's health requires the body to rid itself of waste. The natural urge of purishvega often, if suppressed, can result in serious issues like pindiko-udveshtan, adhmanam, vata-varcho apravartanam, Shiro shoola, and pakvashaya shoola. Therefore, the goal of this study is to compare the two sciences and identify the one ideal solution that has been found for this issue. Purish vega dharan symptoms are easily alleviated with a few simple lifestyle changes.

Suppressing this urge, known as Purish Vega Dharana, can lead to various health complications. Ayurvedic texts and modern medicine describe these effects, including abdominal pain, bloating, constipation, rectal pain, and disorders related to the small intestine. The management of these complications involves addressing the underlying cause and promoting regular bowel movements. Shankh-Prakshalan, an easy and effective gastrointestinal cleansing technique, is recommended for managing the adverse effects of Purish-Vega Dharana. The study was conducted in 30 clinically diagnosed patients of purish as adharniyavega with an objective of alleviating symptoms arising from purishvegadharan viz-pakvashya-shoola, shiro-shoola, vatavarchoapravartanam, adhmanam, pindiko-udveshtan& its management was done by shankh-prakshalan.It was observed that suppressing the urge to defecate can impact both physical and mental well-being. Defecation is a crucial part of our daily routine, essential for eliminating waste from the body and preventing potential illnesses. It was observed that Shankh prakshalanhas demonstrated noteworthy outcomes in alleviating symptoms arising from purishvegadharan.

Even so, less than 30% who suffer these disturbances seek treatment. The objective of this study is to evaluate and compare the anxiolytic effects of Aconitum napellus and homeopathic complex Vita-C 15 in the acutely stressed C57BL6 mice by using the fecal corticoid test, open field test (OFT) and c-Fos, NMDAR 2B, NPY 1R and NPY 2R activity through the hippocampus. A double blinded randomized controlled study is conducted at Animal Laboratory of Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences (CUCMS). All the animals are acclimatized to constant laboratory conditions for 14 days before starting the experiments. Prior to the experiment, a pilot study is performed to identify the most suitable and ideal potency for the homeopathic remedy of Aconitum napellus. The animals are tested (n=3) per group on the potency of 6C, 30C and 200C. The treatments are carried out over 9 days. 48 male C57BL6 mice (n=6), 4-5 weeks of age are used. They are randomly selected and divided into two groups. Group-1 was the healthy control group of mice which are not exposed to acute stress. Group-2 was the stress group. Comprise of mice expose to acute restraint stress. Prior to restraint stress, the treatments given are Aconitum napellus 30 cH, Homeopathic complex Vita-C 15, Diazepam and placebo. Then the results are evaluated by fecal CORT test and open field test by comparing the anxiolytics between pre-test and post-test. Aconitum napellus 30 cH and Homeopathic complex Vita-C 15 are expected to be more effective and can reduce the occurrence of anxiety in the acutely stressed C57BL6 mice. Thus, research into prevention and supportive therapies is necessary and beneficial for this disorder.

High level of institutionalization has impacted Ayurvedic education, learning and research and even its practice. Ayurveda, based on vedic paradigm of principles of equilibrium is different from experimental and validation approach of conventional medicine. The academic research in Ayurveda is under pressure to perform. Change mechanism in an academic environment is a challenge. Formation of an ‘Ayurveda Research Cell [ARC]’ helped the change process. Identification of performance parameters as publications [P1], projects [P2], processes & procedures [P3], products [P4] and patents [P5] provided orientation to the ARC activities. ‘Manthan’ a management tool when applied to this academic institute could remarkably improve individual performance and institutional outcome. This unique, never before exercise in the academic field of Ayurveda can be used to overcome integration issues to develop research roadmaps.

Nearby 20 – 25% worlds’ adult population is in agony of MetS for the reason that of sedentary life style, changing dietary habits, lack of physical activity leading to stress. MetS is major risk factor for non-communicable disease such as diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular diseases, coronary heart disease, chronic kidney disease, stroke and fatty liver disease. It is also major risk factor for infection disease like COVID 19 and other viral infection through hampering immunity. MetS proliferates economic burden on individual as well as national health system. Present management modules only treat symptoms or the complication of MetS but does not treat the individual body and mind as whole. Up till now utmost recommendations focus on diet and exercise and do not meditate stress reducing strategies. Contemporary and traditional management composed can improve this condition. This paper critically reviews the contemporary and traditional perspectives of Metabolic syndrome (MetS) and recommends adoption of a holistic treatment, good lifestyle with appropriately balanced diet along with Yoga, Pranayam, Meditation and a stress-free living which can prove to be an effective management for Metabolic syndrome (MetS).

Prajnaparadha is "an offence against wisdom." Doing things without discriminating as to whether it is favorable or harmful for the body or mind leads to Janapadodhvansak bhavas. Atma, Mana, Indriya and Indriyartha are convoluted in perception of knowledge. One of the three important causative factors of diseases is Pradnyaparadha i.e., Dhi-Dhriti-Smriti Vibhramsha (intellectual blunder). Pradnyaparadha is the main causative factor of many Nija (innate) diseases and all Agantu (accidental) diseases as well as Janapadodhvansa vyadhi (Epidemic diseases). Avoidance of etiological factor i.e., avoidance of Pradnyaparadha (Intellectual error-Doing improper things knowingly) is the only preventive and curative measure for most of the diseases. The intellectual errors or defects can be diagnosed by observation, interrogation, careful history taking, and follow-up of the patient. Good memory (smriti) is one of the qualities of patient required for successful management of the disease. Its causative agents, method of prevention has been clearly explained. To manage Janapadodhvamsa it is advised to include the usage of Rasayanatherapy, Panchkarama procedures, Sadvrit Paalan (code of right conducts) and Aachara Rasayanai. ebehavioural therapy. Although Janapadodhvansa is incurable, a healthy lifestyle and regimen with appropriate treatment is the key to longevity. This paper stresses the utility of Ayurvedic and Yogic therapy, exclusively focusing on quality of life.
