Community Rules

1. No obviously canon pairings. This means no Harry/Ginny (HP), no Simon/Kaylee (Firefly), no Han/Leia (Star Wars), etc. There are plenty of communities for that. Do try and make pairings as brain-bleach worthy as possible. It doesn't have to be slashfic to qualify, and remember, some slashfic has been done so much it can't count as brain bleach worthy. Fandom crossovers, are allowed and even encouraged.

2. Bad grammar/chatspeak is frowned upon, except in the case of the occasional cat macro/lolcat or satiric use. We're all for badfic, but not bad writing. It's no fun if we can't understand what you're trying to say.

3. You can post drabbles or longer fanfic; anything longer than 250 words or accompanied by pictures needs to go behind an LJ-cut. You can also post challenges if there's a pairing you've thought of that you don't think you can do justice to. Be sure to tag your posts as either a fic or a challenge.

4. No videos/music, please. No icon posting, except for ones related specifically to bad pairings.

5. No obscure fandoms, please, especially when it comes to challenges. A list of permissible fandoms is below, but no worries--if you think we have left something off, or have a suggestion for the list, post a comment on the welcome page, and we will happily consider it. The mods reserve the right to exclude fandoms they're unfamiliar with.

6. Play nice with everyone! Harshing the mellow will get you kicked out, and that's no fun for any of us.

7. When posting fic that requires an LJ-cut, try to follow something like the sample format below:

Title: The Malfoy Staff
Pairing: Lucius/Ginny
Rating: R
Summary: Lucius gives Ginny something she wants in return for her love...

8. Have fun!
