Yesterday, we had the privilege of hosting several guests at our Cambridge, Ontario headquarters as part of the Korea Nuclear Trade Mission. It was a truly engaging afternoon, filled with the exchange of knowledge, best practices, and industry insights. The visit provided an excellent opportunity to showcase ATS' extensive automation expertise within the nuclear sector, including our active involvement in SMR (Small Modular Reactor), refurbishment and decommissioning projects. By sharing our experiences and learning from one another, we are collectively driving forward innovation and excellence in the nuclear industry. Collaboration is key to progress, and yesterday's visit reaffirmed the power of partnerships in shaping the future of nuclear technology. The ATS Industrial Automation team was once again excited to host a Robotics Workshop Nuclear Innovation Institute (NII) as part of the Explore Co-op program! This program takes students on a tour of the energy industry, experiencing a 360-degree view into what it makes to safely create clean energy for Ontarians. What a fantastic week it has been–full of building, programming, and showcasing solutions. The ATS Industrial Automation team was once again excited to host a Robotics Workshop as part of the NII Explore Co-op, with our partners at Nuclear Innovation Institute. The students in the NII Explore Co-op demonstrated their skills designing robots to tackle real-world challenges faced by the nuclear industry such as waste transportation and management. A special shout out to my organizing partner Jared Jasinski, and the wonderful co-op students, Siraj Nakhuda, Carrie Albert, and Simon Jasic, working on improvements to the workshop.
