🏆 🥇The Olympic Esports Games is launching in 2025 in Saudi Arabia 🎮! This is huge news and validation for those of us who have believed deeply in this mission for the last decade. In 2016, a group of ambitious dreamers came together to create the eGames at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics, showcasing the top gamers across Super Smash Bros & Smite. We might have been too early but we knew this movement was needed! “As a ‘first’ ever Esports Olympic Games, obviously there is still much to consider and plan with the IOC, but we are committed to hosting a special event that respects and celebrates the Olympic values while boldly seizing the momentum to drive esports forward with the international platform the sport and its athletes deserve.“ - HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal, Minister of Sport and President of the Saudi Arabian Olympic and Paralympic Committee.
