This World Food Day, we are taking the time to reflect on and raise awareness of an ever-growing issue: food insecurity continues to rise in Canada and more than 1 in 4 children is food insecure. We know that kids will be kids, and being a picky eater is just a part of growing up We know this because parents told us! Some kids want peanut butter on pickles. Others will only eat dinosaur-shaped food. And some believe that strawberry yogurt can’t have strawberries in it. But for those 1 in 4 children — parents are grappling with the difficult reality that they are just struggling to put food on the table.
