- We appreciate you and your team's willingness to "innovate-for-good" by harnessing the power of new technologies. Redwood's very own Mujtaba Mir, MES Pl. and Kevin Tesoro were able to have a quick glimpse into the hard, valuable work showcased across your project teams. These are exciting opportunities to explore and learn how virtual & augmented reality (AR/VR) can assist in the planning and development efforts for creating better realities within our communities! ποΈ Thank you, Social Innovation at Georgian College, for helping to enrich communities through your continued vision for a greater future #ChangeTheNow ππΌ

Tomorrow, I am assisting "Aurora Cares", a grassroots advocacy group pushing for urgent community housing solutions in #AuroraOntario with producing a unique local experience: a free, community-inclusive film screening of the Uncharitable Movie - at Aurora Town Square's brand new Performance Hall! I'm looking forward to hearing from our special guest moderator and MC, Michael Braithwaite, CIHCM, CEO at Blue Door. He will be engaging in constructive discussions surrounding the film, and identifying some pain points felt across our disadvantaged yet essential sectors for good. With more than 100 tickets "sold" we expect to bring together this strong local community through net-good media by increasing awareness to the growing challenges that the #notforprofit #charitable sectors face daily. If you live or work in or around York Region, tickets are still available but going quick! Message me directly if you are interested in connecting further about this opportunity, or how to bring this experience to your community! Click here to reserve a ticket or learn more:
Net Good Flix: UnCharitable presented by Aurora Cares eventbrite.ca - Our Director of Communications & Advocacy Jennifer is at the #ONPHAConference. The opening panel was asked "Is community housing still relevant?" π€ Carolyn Whitzman says "Hell yes!" And on the question of how we fund the community housing needed, the panel concludes: normalize community housing as critical infrastructure alongside roads, bridges, and water systems. ποΈ Housing is a right and everyone deserves a good place to live. To meet the need, we need to think big.
