- While we’re still abuzz from the incredible week celebrating the 35th annual St. John's International Women's Film Festival, we are excited to share that we have been nominated for the 2024 St. John's Board of Trade Business Awards in the "Business Builder" category! We’re thrilled to be recognized alongside so many amazing businesses, and this achievement is a testament to the support and hard work of our incredible team.

We are beyond honoured to have facilitated this opportunity for our delegates to pitch and seek consultation. - Wow—what a thrilling discussion! Acclaimed producers Tanya Lapointe and Killer Films Inc's Christine Vachon, with host Noreen Golfman, led our audience on an engaging journey through their careers: the ups, the downs, and everything in between. They generously shared insights into their work processes, the current state of the industry, and how they find balance and peace amidst the chaos: "The worst experiences often turn into the best because the hardships are what make the end result more sastisfying." — Tanya Lapointe "You're not allowed to use the word crisis unless someone is hurt. Everything else is just a problem" — Christine Vachon #sjiwff35 #sjiwff
- Our Innovating for Global Prosperity panel was an in-depth discussion on the opportunities that the current industry paradigm shift presents and how essential innovation and collaboration are for driving global success. Joan Jenkinson (Black Screen Office - Bureau de l'écran des Noirs) led this insightful discussion with industry leaders Wendy Parkies (FAST Channels, South Africa), Renee Robinson (Chief Strategist, TidalRise), Tania Thompson, and Sasha Leigh Henry. They reflected on their career journeys, the impact their work has had, and the importance of focusing on the big picture and policy in order to have a lasting impact both locally and on a global scale.#sjiwff35 #sjiwff
