Before Chekhov wrote _Seagull, Cherry Orchard, Three Sisters, Uncle Vanya_and Ivanov he wrote some very funny one act farces. Three of those will be adapted and directed by the Head of Theatre, Yasen Peyankov. The three separate acts of an evening of Chekhov hilarity are based on: _The Proposal_– a story of a marriage proposal that keeps getting sidetracked by old neighborly disputes, petty rivalries and gossip; The Bear is a story of a creditor who comes to collect from a young widow only to find an equal who challenges him on every aspect of his backward thinking which leads to a duel that never gets to be and yes… a marriage; The Jubilee is about the preparations for a bank anniversary celebration that goes sideways by the interruptions of one very flamboyant spouse, one very annoying and stubborn petitioner who make the lives of the very narcissistic director of the bank and his very grumpy assistant a living hell.
