Desiree Scholten

I studied History at Utrecht University and completed my MA in Medieval Studies at that same university. I am currently processing the convents as given by my examiners to resubmit my dissertation at the University of Cambridge on the early medieval transmission of the Historia Ecclesiastica Tripartita by Cassiodorus-Epiphanius.

My main research interests lay in the field of manuscript studies and palaeography. It intruiges me how intellectual and political culture respond to each other, and how power also influences the transmission and reading of manuscripts.
