162 Days, 162 Chapters (original) (raw)
Sorry Guys, I'm so far behind I'm a little frantic, so I gacked this from Sparknotes.
And we finally arrive at the chapter that made the various fandom shippers scream with outrage, because a ship so heinous and so vile -- one the vast majority of the fandom claimed would never happen, ever in a million years -- came to fruition within these pages.
I'm talking, of course, about Draco/Myrtle.
Did you think I meant H/G? Oh, well they get together, too.
( A long walk in the grounds seemed indicated, during which -- if they had time -- they might discuss the match.Collapse )
Only one week to go. I can't wait.
This chapter is a crucial one, with lots of information.
( Harry, have you any idea how few wizards could have seen what you saw in that mirror?Collapse )
( I'm going to Hagrid's, I've got a good feeling about going to Hagrid's.Collapse )
*****
I'll never forget reading this chapter for the first time and being so utterly amused by Harry's behavior and thoughts while under the influence of Felix Felicis. The icon I chose for this post is the closest I've got to how I imagined it. Though naturally nothing quite beats lilac_bearry's interpretation. :D
In a nutshell:
-Harry makes half-hearted efforts to find a magical method for procuring Slughorn's memory, but Hermione insists he must persuade Slughorn.
-Hermione and Ron’s relationship improves as Ron’s relationship with Lavender continues to deteriorate.
-Harry’s obsession with Malfoy continues, and he receives important news from the House-Elves about where he’s been going when he disappears from the map; Harry's efforts to crack the RoR, however, prove fruitless.
-A depressed Tonks makes another appearance, and clues to the reason behind her behavior are rehashed, while a new one is added: she is seeking information from Dumbledore.
( I need to see what Draco Malfoy is doing inside youCollapse )
