The present text explores Early Medieval Stone Sculpture in Scotland, specifically the collection... more The present text explores Early Medieval Stone Sculpture in Scotland, specifically the collections at Kirriemuir and Glamis as a way to widen our understanding of the society that created it. By analysing the landscape of each site, considering both natural and archaeological features, and the functionality of the monuments themselves it aims to discern each site, by their possible character when they were active and their part in local life. This analysis is followed by a contrast and conjugation of these sites with others in the wider region, which are rich in stone sculpture and have been assessed previously. At the end by adding new pieces to the puzzle the discussion will aim to inform what the region was and how the people living in it enacted worship and sacredness.

Esta semana está marcada por el evento inicial: durante una confesión uno de los habitantes del pueblo le anuncia al padre que lo va a matar el próximo domingo, dándole exactamente esa semana para poner en paz sus asuntos. El razonamiento del personaje es que como él fue violado repetidamente por un cura, y este sujeto esta ya muerto, no hay punto en matar a un cura malo, al contrario, es impactante si mata a uno bueno.

The purpose of the current text is to analyze and meditate about fantasy beyond its classification as a literary and fictional genre. To achieve this, the text is focused in the television series Game of Thrones and the book series in which it is inspired, A Song of Ice and Fire. The core of the text is comprised of seven parts, each talking about a specific topic of main anthropological interest. The fictional universe, its characters and their voices will play a major part in the discussions to come, as the main interlocutors. In this way the text intents to explore fantasy and fiction’s ability to contain, relive and expose human reality.
