Who: Julian and Ellie
What: Awkward confessions and apologies. Mostly on Ellie's part. Actually, all on Ellie's part.
Where: Julian's backyard?
Rating: PG

She wasn't sure exactly how many hours she'd spent walking in circles around town, but it had since become dark, so Ellie was increasingly confident that it would be wise to head in the direction of home. With the dark came the cold, and with the cold came illnesses and, though she'd never admit it, a slight fear of every strange noise she could have possibly heard. She'd walked down the street on which the Gallo residence was, though she admittedly had to force herself to remember all of the reasons it would be a terrible idea to knock each time she came close to doing so, and she stood on the opposite side of the street each time she passed. This was the sixth time she'd done so since she left the school.

Everytime she passed, she was forced to remember the look on Julian's face in the auditorium, or the half assed excuse he'd made to push past her, or the way she'd single-handedly messed everything up with the residual shock of his sudden confession. The aforementioned shock had since worn off, but now she was only left with regret and guilt, the horrible mental imagery of Julian Gallo's sad face, and a sinking feeling in her stomach. And, by now, her feet were burning, too.

So, at what she'd confirmed to be ten thirty, Ellie stood staring at the house from the sidewalk, one ear bud in and both hands in her pockets. She watched as a faint blue light glowed from the window of Julian's bedroom, all other lights in the house off. A train was passing somewhere in the distance, and the wind was picking up, blowing strands of hair in her face. She inhaled deeply before expelling a breath, pulling her hood over her head, and walking across the street defiantly. She was going to fix this if it killed her.

And, based on the way her breathing had become increasingly difficult, it was somewhat likely that it might.

Who: Everyone
What: Awkward Party Regrets! Oh, and VA rehearsal.
Where: Carmel Auditorium
Rating: PG
Ooc: Sweet jesus, sorry this took so long to get up :\ Some unexpected stuff came up that had to be seen to /excuses

Seeing as it was a day that ended in -y, there was Vocal Adrenaline practice after school, and that meant facing other human beings with a headache that had been ongoing since the weekend.

Joy.

Colby grimaced as she shoved through the heavy doors leading into the auditorium. She had decided to duck out of class a few minutes early so she could change for practice and still avoid being late. She was definitely lagging though, meaning it would probably trickle into practice, and facing the wrath of Shelby Corcoran over sloppiness was an exhausting thought.
But being off her game and late to practice in the same day would probably result in her burial beneath the school parking lot.

Throwing herself down into one of the front row seats, Colby glanced at her watch. It wouldn't be long now until everyone, including certain, grating blondes, started showing up. Noisily. Colby sighed, tilting her head back as she closed her eyes, doing her best to ignore the dull throbbing in her head.

Who: Everyone~
What: Partyyyyyyy~
Where: The Mitchell's residence
Rating: With this bunch? WHO KNOWS.

Juliet checked herself once more in the mirror before exiting her bathroom once she was sure that she looked absolutely pristine. Not that she didn't always look perfect. Tonight was just a special event. Parties were always an excuse to look top notch, especially when it's the party that you're hosting. Juliet had decided on a black miniskirt and a low cut maroon blouse that showed off the perfect amount of cleavage. It was topped off with a pair of matching toeless heels and a few silver bracelets on one wrist. Her hair was down and in light waves. The picture of perfection. Obviously.

Taking her first martini of the night in hand, she made her way downstairs where a few nameless faces already began to mingle. She had set out the bar to the tops, with every top shelf brand she considered worthy and cleared the furniture in the living room to the sides to leave out a decent area for dancing and sitting. Well, Miguel had moved the furniture, but she directed. Speaking of which, he should be back with the ice anytime now. He was such a dear for helping her get ready for the party. In more ways than one.

As the music pumped in the background, Juliet sipped her martini as she prepared to make this a night for the record books.

Who: Miguel and Colby
What: Gaming Beat Down
Where: Colby's House
Rating: PG

Church, Miguel thought, was kind of a huge pain in the ass. Aunt Erica insisted on going to the Latin mass, which was so friggin’ boring he could hardly stand it. He wouldn’t go at all, but Aunt Erica gave him that I disapprove greatly of your lifestyle and you are probably going to burn in hell look. And she was the queen of the guilt trip. It was also his unofficial job to keep Vikki entertained quietly. Though today they had ended up in a not-so-quiet thumb war and Miguel had to deal with the look anyway.

But now there was freedom. He jumped out of the van as soon as it pulled up to the house and went around back for his bike (he would kill for a car, but now that the family had zero money a bike was the best he was getting). Miguel grabbed a few snacks from the kitchen because Aunt Erica insisted it was polite to bring things when visiting guests and his controller, kissed Vikki lightly on the forehead and left for Colby’s house. Bitch was about to get schooled.

Grinning cockily with his backpack hanging off of one shoulder, he rapped loudly on the door. “Hey Colby! Ready to get your ass kicked?”

Who: Canaan and Miguel
What: Forced togetherness. Possibly some practice too.
Where: Empty classroom

This was clearly the worst idea Shelby had ever had, Miguel thought, picking his pocket knife out of his back pocket. And she had some pretty awful ones in the past. Especially when it came to costumes. Because damn, some of that shit was hideous and really made his complexion look all spotty. He placed his hand flat on the desk and started idly playing the knife game, poking divots into the desk between each finger.

He didn’t care if the thing had been completely random, someone had to be at fault for putting him with that weird too-pretty freshman kid with a name that sounded like a country. It sounded like it had too many freaking letters. Just thinking about him reminded Miguel that he owed that kid a push into the pool fully clothed or something gross pushed through the slats of his locker. Maybe a swirly. Freshman punk.

Honestly, he wasn’t sure why he was waiting around for the kid. Except that Shelby was a pretty scary lady when you crossed her. So Miguel was all for doing that as little as possible. No point in jeopardizing another chance to win, even if it meant sharing his talents with that kid with the weird name. Sighing, he readjusted his cap and flipped his pocket knife over and over in one hand. Needless to say, the more that freak made him wait, the worse it was going to be for him. Little shit should be thankful he bothered to show up at all.

Who: Millie and Colby
What: Enforced "team-building" exercise.
Where: Andrews residence.
Rating: PG

Readjusting her hold on the backpack she had filled with sheet music, Colby jogged up the walkway to Millie's front door. In all honesty she wanted to get this done and over with as soon as possible - Millie seemed great, if a little stressed, but the "enforced fun" or team exercise or whatever wasn't Colby's idea of an evening well spent.

Then again, it could be worse. She could have been stuck with Leo or Mitchells. Colby couldn't help but smirk. Leo would probably get an aneurysm from the sheer awkwardness, and there was no guarantee her and Juliet wouldn't draw blood (in the bad way).

Colby reached the front door and rang the doorbell, drumming her fingers on her thigh as she waited for someone to answer.

Who: Juliet and Annistyn.
What: Awkward practice and judgment.
Where: Mitchells residence.
Rating: PG

Juliet flicked back her hair as she sorted through a stack of sheet music that she had taken from the music room in her house so she could sit in the living room with the stereo playing Frank Sinatra in the background as she decided on a song that she and this Annistyn girl could practice. Obviously, she would be picking the song out. She clearly had the superior musical taste. Even if she had no idea what the other girl liked, besides Gaga.

Taking a sip of a her (not so virgin) daiquiri, she tried to remember if she had ever spoken to the younger girl. She was pretty sure she hadn't. Not that it really mattered. If the girl had been important, she would have remembered. Regardless, she would have to feel her out before coming to a clear decision on whether or not the girl was worth her time.

She had told Annistyn at practice that they could meet at her house and had given her directions. Her house was clearly the superior choice to practice at,given the fully functional music room. Lounging on the couch in her khaki shorts and white blouse, she twirled a strand of blonde hair around her finger as she debated song choices while she waited for Annistyn to arrive.

Who: Leo, Ellie, and Lucy
What: Forced practice times.
Where: An empty room in Carmel.
Rating: PG

Leo opened the door to the classroom where he was supposed to meet the other two girls for practice to find that it was empty. He looked down at the paper he had written down their meeting information on and looked back nervously at the clock on the wall. Had he messed up the meeting time or something? He knew Lucy and Ellie, obviously, since they were his teammates or whatever, but they didn't exactly spend any time talking or hanging out. He wished that he could just pull out his cellphone and call one of them and see what the hell was going on, but he had been too nervous to program their numbers into his phone when he had gotten them.

Throwing himself into one of the chairs, Leo wondered bitterly just why they had to do this. Vocal Adrenaline may have been lacking in camaraderie, but they certainly weren't lacking in cohesiveness; this stupid assignment seemed more like an excuse to torture them than to build any sort of team spirit. Sighing resignedly, he clutched his backpack to his chest and waited for the other two to show up. Hopefully, they'd get it over with soon.

Who: Alex and Michaela
What: Practice (and a whole lot of talking)
Where: Bauer household
Rating: PG

Michaela still thought this was kind of a stupid idea. Wouldn't it be a better idea if they practiced as a group? With their coach? Not that they didn't do that enough, of course. The blisters on her feet from all of the dancing were living proof of that.

But regardless of her personal thoughts on the matter, she was still doing it, because A) Shelby would have made her do it even if she tried to back out, B) she'd do anything to make her voice better, and C) Alex was her partner.

Michaela liked Alex. She was relatively normal, and Juliet seemed to like her (and things were much easier when Juliet liked the person, for obvious reasons). Plus, there was just something about her. She couldn't put her finger on it, exactly, but there was a 'something.'

So she pulled out her iPod and began looking through her songs, debating on which one to practice on while she waited for Alex to arrive.

Who: Lucy and Annistyn.
What: No use crying over spilled cookies.
Where: The Vocal Adrenaline auditorium.
Rating: G

Last night, Lucy had been up waiting for her cookies to bake. She had failed a few times, as the cookies were much too bitter for anyone to eat. Of course! She wasn't going to let them go to waste - she would donate them to the soup kitchen to use as desert for the ones in poverty. She would also keep some of the duds for herself, anything as long as they didn't go to waste! She could always eat them with ice cream anyway - that always tasted yummy in her tummy. The reason why she had failed so many times was because she was trying to find the right recipe for cookies that were only twenty calories each! She realized that if she was to find the perfect recipe - she would have to substitute flour with beans! And by golly - it worked and they tasted delicious!

Now, she had them on a pink platter, ready to present them to her fellow Vocal Adrenaline team members. She knew they all didn't like eating too many sweets - she didn't like doing that either! But these were very healthy! She was sure that they would appreciate them because they were low in fat AND tasted delicious. She pushed opened the door- there wasn't very many kids in yet. Even so, she put the platter to balance on top of her flattened left hand, and used her right to wave frantically.

"Morning everyone!" She chirped, striding down over to the stands to set her plate down and wait for the kids to (hopefully) try some out. It always made her sad when nobody felt like trying her baked goods. She blinked a few times as some of her blond hair had strayed over to her face, and was blocking her vision.

Suddenly, she had hit a squishy wall. And then suddenly she heard the clatter of her plate on the ground... and the soft thumping of the perfectly circled sixty cookies hitting the ground. Then, she heard her own bottom hitting the floor. She looked up worriedly - she had bumped into someone.

"I'm so sorry!" She whimpered, "Oh dear... oh my goodness. I should have watched where I was going, really!"

ooc/ And, by the way. if anyone thinks I'm crazy- I'll happily supply the "bean cookie recipe"! Haha! ;)
