I was very proud of my barony and my brothers in arms over this past weekend. We truly appreciate the acknowledgment and support Baron Jehan showed us in court on Friday night, and the warm welcome the populace gave us. It was heartening, and gave a clear and resounding answer to the question 'Does Carolingia want a fighting unit?'. You most clearly do.

It was a pleasure to fight alongside all of the members of the barony who donned armor over the weekend, but I wanted to acknowledge a few stand outs.

• Gwydion authorized at GNEW, further increasing our ranks of warriors.
• Donovan drove up just for the day, essentially just for me bang him around in armor (I also want to thank Federach for helping train him after I realized that I was just too tired and injured to be of much use).
• Zohane and Kagetarou fought all day, outlasting every other member of the company. This dedication and determination is what turns peasants into princes. I cannot begin to articulate how proud and happy I was to see this.

I also want to thank Sir Ankara for her words of encouragement and the unbelted champions team for being such worthy opponents. Truly our experience fighting them improved us both as individuals and as a unit.

I serve the baron and the people of Carolingia.
