Мой личный хитпарад выглядит следующим образом.

Первое место прочно и уже давно удерживают и разделяют:

1. If you have a garden and a library you have everything you need. Цицерон.
2. The time is always now. (не знаю, кто сказал).

Второе место занимают две анонимные цитаты (во всяком случае авторство мне неизвестно):
2) Ninety percent of everything is crap.
2) Все беды этого мира оттого, что думать начинают люди совершенно к этому неприспособленные.

Далее идёт Эйнштейн с двумя сложными высказываниями:
3) The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift. (это я особенно люблю).
3) We act as though comfort and luxury were the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about.

И Alan Kay:
